Today was a different day for dimension 0. Even there, they celebrated the holidays. Valeesa came up with the idea to get some kind of present for John Doe. However, no one knew what he could possibly want and if he would even use it. Valeesa inspired them to be creative and think of something, anything for John.
Zakreever bought batteries, which obviously would have no use for John since he had a built-in generator, or that's at least what the General told him.
Valeesa decided to craft a new weapon for him. A sniper rife, just in case he ever needed one in the future.
Meezala ordered a specially made cake for him, after learning that he can eat food. She wanted to see if he had a sense of taste.
The General installed a new function, though left it a surprise until New Years Eve, when they celebrated.
On the morning of New Years Eve, John woke up without knowing that today was a holiday. He walked to the intelligence room, but the door was locked. He knocked on the door. Valeesa told him to wait a bit, so he stood still.
After about five minutes, John was let in.
"Happy holiday, John Doe!" they cheered, and Zakreever groaned. John was perplexed, he didn't understand the concept of a holiday. Nonetheless, he accepted his situation. Everyone but Zakreever was smiling, so this must be a happy occasion.
After John Doe received his presents, he understood the nature of a holiday. Inside, somehow, John felt happy.
(Sorry for the super short [and super late] chapter. I couldn't think of much to write in this part, and I am currently working on other stories more. So the good news is, there will be more to read!
