Tristen
I was sitting in the crowd of my graduating peers waiting for everyone to be done speaking.
My family was in the back and my younger brother Drew had a sign that say "Go Tristen." On it.
I looked around and tried to see where Alijah and Sean were, but I couldn't see them. I looked forward and they started calling the first row, and there stood Zadie.
She looked tired but still looked amazing as ever. A part of me wish that we never broke up to begin with but then another part of me feels like we'll get back together soon. I forgive her and I know she feels bad about what happened, if she would just talk to me I would get back with her.
To be honest Gretchen isn't anything like Zadie, they're in so many ways complete opposites. Gretchen is quick to jump to conclusions and doesn't want try to talk much of anything while Zadie needs to talk everything out sigh at that moment something happens.
I sat and watched Zadie walked up to accept her diploma and shake some hands and smile out into the crowd. She started to walk down from the stage and go back to her seat when she caught my eye.
Her face smile faded into a smirk and her body language changed all together. I gave her a smile and quietly clapped for her. She nodded at me and sat back in her seat.
Once it was my turn I walked up and was handed my diploma. I shook hands and smiled at everyone and looked out at my family. I saw Drew's sign that Malcolm was helping him lift up. I waved at them and saw my dad clapping and cheering for me, while my mom stood there crying like I just won an award on TV.
I smiled at them as I walked down from the stage. "That's my baby Tristen!! You did it!!!!" I heard my mom scream and it felt like the whole audience and stage got quite for my mothers scene that was causing.
I ducked my head trying to walk back to my seat in peace with whatever dignity I had left on my shoulders.
I watched as Amie went up and then Alijah. Gretchen was next and her whole family was standing up cheering for her when she walked across and then Sean followed a few people after.
Once we were all done we threw our caps up in the air and Drew found me in the crowd and jumped into giving me a hug. "I'm so happy for you bro." He said
"Thanks lil bro." Your next right?" I said hugging him back.
"So you just gonna skip over us?" Malcolm said walking over with the rest of my family.
I laughed and hugged all of them. Alijah his mom and step dad walked over and me and him hugged. "Man can you believe they gave me a diploma." Alijah said laughing with his tongue out.
"You only graduated cause you dicked down your Spanish teacher a few months ago and you bribed your calculus teacher with two Louie bags." I said
"Man don't hate the player hate the system." Alijah said
"Yoo." Alijah said seeing Sean walk over with his mom.
"Man we did it. We about to make big nigga money!" Sean said
"Watch dat mouth!" Sean and my mom said.
Sean shook his head and turned back to us. "You good?" I asked him.
"Ol boy got the shakes. You twitching in your pants." Alijah said
"I have to do this. I know it might be bad timing but I have to get this done. Amie will hate me after but I think it's time to go down our different paths." Sean said
