Zadie
I just wanted to get out to this bitches house right now and get away from everyone. After trying to get me to calm down and failing Alijah finally let me come outside with him sitting there with me.
"What's going through your head?" He asked
"My sister" I said
"Same." Alijah said
"You two had a little special bond." I said and looked at him.
"Yeah she still the baddest" Alijah said. I noticed with him he didn't have the same look that he usually does, he looked sad and almost defeated.
"What's going through yours?" I asked him
"I never told anyone this but, I feel like Faye visited me in my sleep a few times." Alijah said
"Really?" I said and smiled
"Yeah. She was in our school though and she had beaten the disease she was born with. She still had her chair for additional help but she was strong and she was happy. She was walking around the hallway with you and Tristen, right in between you both." Alijah said turning his mouth to smile.
"That sounds awesome. I'm sure Faye wanted you to see that." I said to him.
"She did, but in this one particular dream I had something else happened that I think she wanted me to see." Alijah said
I scrunched up my face at him waiting to hear what he had to say. "What was that?" I asked.
He looked over at me and smiled "You were pregnant." He said
"Huh" I feel like I almost screamed.
"A few months ago, like maybe four now. You were pregnant." Alijah said
"What...how.. I don't understand." I said
"Zadie listen. It's okay. No one else knows. I didn't even tell Tristen that I know. What I do know is that you were pregnant and now your not, and that in between that time you and Tristen broke up and argued more then I've ever seen you two argue." Alijah said smiling at me.
I looked down and pulled my legs up to my chest holding them there with my arms. "How did you find out?" I asked. I couldn't hide it anymore, it was the truth and it was bond to come out.
"I put two and two together and plus I saw your face in there when Shannon was rubbing her belly, you got a little sad and it just reconfirmed it for me." Alijah said
"But how? No one knew I was pregnant except for Tristen. Not Amie not even my parents knew I was pregnant." I said.
"One day Tristen asked me to go to Target with him, and I don't know he just looked different. He was glowing and he was happy and energized, more then I've ever seen him before. When we were walking up to the register he stopped and looked at a baby girl onesie. It was pink and had white frills on it and flowers, he stood and stared at that thing for at least thirty seconds. I only remember what it looks like because I bought it for him." Alijah said
"Why would you buy it?" I asked a little more confused
"Because the way my bro looked at that onesie, I've never seen him look at anything else like that before." Alijah said
I felt myself get sad all over again. "What happened Zadie?" Alijah asked me
I swallowed before answering him. "When I went to my genetics consoling appointment they told me that since Faye had cerebral palsy that our baby might have it as well. I didn't want my daughter or son to go through that so I chose to terminate the pregnancy." I said beginning to cry.
