harry and louis walked into mcdonalds hand in hand, it was busy and louis didn't want to lose him.

harry hurried over to an empty booth whilst louis got into the line to order, he knew harry's order off by heart.

chicken nugget happy meal and strawberry milk shake.

he sat and waited for louis to come back, watching the little girl in the booth across from him colour in with the crayons provided.

he smiled to himself, kids were just too precious.

always lost in their own world with nothing to worry about.

"emilia! will you hurry up and eat your food! you beg me to bring you here and all you do is fuck about with crayons!"

harry's head shot back up to see the girl's seemingly mum shouting at her, the girl had a sad expression on her face, and the crayon in her hand had been replaced with a fry.

the woman left to get more napkins as she was feeding a baby next to her, no wonder she was stressed.

but it didn't mean she was allowed to shout at poor emilia.

"hey!", harry whispered.

she turned around and looked at him warily, he was a stranger after all.

"your hair is so pretty!"

"thanks, my mummy did it but i think she's mad at me"

"maybe she's tired, baby's can be tiring can't they! i'm sure she didn't mean it, she loves you!", harry promised her.

she smiled and then her mum arrived back, sighing as she picked the spoon of baby food back up after wiping its face.

then louis came over with their food.

"alright haz?"

"mhm", he smiled, grabbing his happy meal.

they ate their food comfortably, making usual conversation.

as he passed the little girl's table in their way out, he stopped.

"i didn't eat my chips, i was talking to your daughter earlier and i was wondering if you wanted them?", he asked politely.

"thankyou! i could do with a distraction for her while i finish feeding sam", she took them and passed them to her daughter who had finished her food.

"thankyou sir! you're very kind you know", she said, trying to fit a handful of fries in her mouth at once.

"it was no problem at all, have a good day!"
