A/N: Another chapter up. I included some music that I wanted to set the tone for this chapter, feel free to listen to it and tell me how you liked it! (Its on spotify as well if you want to listen to it as you read) Thanks for reading! :)

PS: I'm going to start including music in every chapter, it helps me to stay focused on the true theme I want to convey for the parts I write. Let me know how you like it!

PPS: this chapter is a few days late. Been sick and tired, plus I wanted to review the chapter and make sure it was well written. Typos suck haha. Hopefully this was worth the wait.

~oOo~

Under the cover of darkness a lone figure crept quietly behind his unsuspecting victim, the shadows providing more than enough cover for him to maneuver through the town unnoticed by all those nearby. Sterling blue followed the same pudgy man day in and day out, his anger rising with every day that passed, filling him with an annoying ache in his soul. Unknowingly, a palm came up to cradle his chest as a deep growl filled the air, thankfully drowned out by the chaotic noise of the city. Over the past few weeks, their target had done nothing, avoiding Stardust all together and instead choosing to frequent more established and refined places if he even bothered to go out at all. His security detail had been upped since their last encounter, two burly men by his side at any point throughout the day. It was only when he went home that there was any chance of catching him alone, which just wasn't plausible with how fast and eye-catching his private limousine was.

He couldn't very well follow it on foot, that would be far too suspicious as well as pointless since he couldn't teleport after a moving car in a crowded city, so with a frustrated sigh, he stuck to following in the shadows, staying out of sight until an opportunity presented itself. David had been restless as of late, much to Sans amusement, always warily glancing over his shoulder, narrowed anxious eyes searching for whatever was shadowing him. It was funny really how paranoid he was, rightfully so since Sans was never too far away. David was clearly nervous, as evident by the extra security and wary glances, and it served as a form of entertainment for the fickle skeleton, his anger and resentment towards the mayor fueling his desire to torment the stupid man. It was bad enough that he was under strict orders to keep him alive, but he was stuck with babysitting duty essentially.

Often times he found himself envisioning what it would be like to truly unleash his wrath upon the man who made his life a living hell. If only he could sink his hand into the blubbery flesh of his torso, to feel the warm, thick liquid beneath his bones as he ripped the still beating heart out of his chest, taking great pleasure in seeing David's final gasp as he realized that it would be his very last.

A twisted smirk etched itself on his face as he delighted in what kind of face the mayor would make in his final moments. Would it be one of fearful desperation or one of shocked outrage? Time would only tell and until further instruction, he had to make do with vivid imaginations of torture and despair.

With a purely sadistic shudder, Sans shuffled along after the mayor, his eyes shining brightly with barely restrained malice as he eyed his prey.

Soon..

With a frustrated sigh, Sans could do nothing more than watch as David climbed into his limousine, with his two bodyguards right behind him, and took off into the dead of night. Angry, wound up, and extremely bored, Sans prowled the streets, no longer staying confined to the cover of darkness, instead mingling amongst the humans as he headed seemingly nowhere, merely following the crowd as he filed down different streets, the passing buildings and fading people going unnoticed by the frustrated monster. It was only as he stood outside the familiar door in that sketchy alley that he realized he had ventured back to Stardust, the same thrumming bass reverberating lowly out in the grungy alley. With a sigh, he knocked on the door and waited for the bouncer to open the slat. There was nothing more to be done, so why not stir up some trouble?
