The silence that filled the room only lasted for a minute or two before Asgore bolted out of bed and threw on his clothes, Toriel following suit shortly after while Sans turned around to give them privacy, having just realized what he interrupted. He didn't even have the time to feel embarrassed before Asgore's growl echoed around them as he began barking out orders while Toriel scrambled to wake up her children.
"Sans, gather Papyrus, Mettaton, Alphys and Undyne. I want you to bring them with you immediately. There's no time to waste. Now go!"
He nodded and disappeared as fast as he had come, starting first at Alphys' lab, since it was closest and didn't put too much strain on his magic, he'd need every last bit of it. He hurried into the lab, simply teleporting past the door and calling loudly for the fish and dinosaur monsters, his nerves basically fried and his mind running a mile a minute.
"Undyne, Alphys, come here now!" He yelled, worry lacing every word, "Its an emergency!"
The sound of shuffling footsteps reached him as a disgruntled fish and dinosaur ran down the escalator, their rapid footfalls echoing throughout the massive laboratory. When Undyne came skidding to a halt, she frowned down at the skeleton, ready to chew him out but the concern in his eyes made her pause and reach out to grip his shoulder reassuringly.
"What's wrong? What has happened?"
Sans shook his head, his flickering blue and gold eyes staring back up at her, "Not here. Get dressed, we have to go. Now!"
Undyne nodded, her thoughts scrambling as she rushed to the entryway, throwing on her armor at a breakneck speed and grabbing the glowing blue spear in the corner. Her mind wandered as she fumbled with tying the straps. Something truly bad must have happened for him to get so worked up, and judging by the rising dread in her stomach, she knew it wasn't anything good. The look Alphys shot her didn't ease her worries any.
Hurrying back to the skeleton, Alphys looked between the two with wide, fear filled eyes, "S-Sans, wh-what's wrong? Y-You're sh-shaking.."
He shook his head, "Asgore will tell you himself. Come here both of you. We have to go get Papyrus and Mettaton."
Dino and fish exchanged worried glances but did what they were told, clutching the skeleton's hands as the world around them shifted. Multitudes of colors flashed before their eyes and with a screeching halt, the two collapsed to the floor barely holding back the contents in their stomachs.
Both of them groaned and sat on the floor disoriented while Sans practically flew up the steps to Papyrus' room. He didn't hesitate to fling the door open, not even caring that the tin can was sitting on Pap's lap, oily kisses covering the stark white of his face.
Mettaton quickly jumped off his lover's lap, a fierce scowl on his face as he opened his mouth to lecture the eldest skeleton on his lack of manners, but the look in Sans' eyes stopped the angry tirade in its tracks. Papyrus quickly moved to his brothers side, wide eyed and concerned, before pulling him close.
"Brother, what-"
"Not now, bro. We need to go to New Home. Now. Get dressed, armor up and meet me downstairs ASAP," He commanded, every ounce of fear and worry lacing his instructions.
Both monsters nodded and exchanged worried glances before Papyrus rushed to grab his suit of armor from his closet. The armor had been a commissioned piece from his lover when he had finally been accepted as a royal guard, although he rarely wore it wholly out since it was a giant iron suit, but now it seemed as if it would finally serve it's purpose. The skeleton lifted his arms, dragging the gauntlets over his arms while Mettaton moved behind him, easing the chestplate into place and tying it securely behind his back, his mind whirring frantically as he helped his lover.
