The next morning found a sleepy Sans tangled up in the covers alone. With a slight groan, he sat up and stretched allowing his bones to pop lightly before settling back into place. A soft hum of pleasure broke the silence of the room, and with herculean effort, he forced his eyes open despite the tempting pull of sleep.
Groaning softly as he rolled, he was disheartened to find himself alone. He should be used to it by now, and truthfully he was, but Frisk was unlike the others, she meant so much more than any of them. Judging by her words and actions last night, it was safe to say he meant something to her as well. Which begged the question: why did she leave?
Maybe she had grown bored after last night? No that didnt seem right, she was a such a passionate little thing, she couldn't have been bored. Perhaps she was embarrassed? It was probably hard for her to muster up the courage to confess her feelings, let alone ask him to take her virginity.
Maybe she had come to regret her decision? A sharp pang of hurt echoed deep within his soul at the thought. What if he hadn't measured up to her desires? He knew that she had been pleased last night, but maybe she found the idea of actually being with him ridiculous?
With a renewed sense of urgency, he practically leapt out of bed and scrounged up his pair of gym shorts left unceremoniously in a messy heap by the bed. Throwing the wrinkled fabric on, he left the room only to be met by a melodic humming coming from somewhere downstairs.
Moving slowly now, he crept down the stairs, hoping not to startle the girl who was now singing quite cheerily upon further inspection. The soft sound of her voice soothed his soul as he rounded the corner, watching as she wiggled happily around the stove, scrambling eggs if his sense of smell wasn't mistaken. A small blush lit up his skull as he realized she was parading around in the t-shirt from last night, her hair partially missed and the lacy teal panties covering her center.
He watched her work for a few moments, chuckling at her disheveled appearance before coming up behind her and wrapping his bony arms around her waist, delighting in her startled squeak.
She fought to brush him off before quickly realizing the skeleton's arms, the same ones that had been wrapped around her last night. Her face lit up in a brilliant blush and a small smile as shrank into the embrace.
"So, this is what you decide to do after a night of lovemaking? Thought you would be.. bone-tired.." he whispered into her ear.
She giggled lightly and suppressed a shiver as his breath fanned out over her sensitive ear. Funnily enough, she hadn't even known her ears could tingle so pleasantly until last night. Face heating another several degrees, she turned her head away in embarrassment as snippets from last night surfaced in her memory. With a slightly nervous giggle, she happily told him how she wanted to make him a nice breakfast since Papyrus was still out for training.
He nodded and settled his chin in the crook of her neck, "Thanks for breakfast."
Kissing her neck in appreciation, he smiled at the soft gasp that escaped her lips before moving to set the table, none the wiser of the sad smile she shot his way.
Breakfast was served fairly quickly as Sans had slept in during most of it. Plates were piled high with eggs, bacon, and sausage, alongside a huge bottle of ketchup for Sans whilst Frisk enjoyed a cup of OJ.
The two ate peacefully, light conversation being held about various topics, mainly Papyrus and his enthusiastic training. It was only as Frisk looked up at him nervously that he stilled his fork and turned his full attention on the girl in front of him.
"Frisk, what's wrong?" He asked, hand reaching out to rest stop hers.
He watched with growing concern as she reached up to grasp his hand in a tender grip, her eyes refusing to meet his while she contemplated her next words.
"So, Sans... um..a-about last night.." her voice trailed off weakly and for the faintest of moments, she could see fear flash in his eyes before he schooled himself.
"Yeah? What about it?" He murmured, looking anywhere else but at her. His tone was a bit harsher than he meant for it to come out and he couldn't help but be taken aback a bit at the words coming out of her mouth.
"So, last night was really great, but I guess it would be for the best if we.. we didn't do that anymore.."
