(Lana's pov)
"What?" I blinked.
"Did you get the note I left on your locker?" A sense of relief came over me. Max didn't send me the chocolates. "No, I didn't." I said, with a small smile."Oh. Then i'll just tell you now. Tilly was wondering if you could drop Lizzy off after school. She wants to have a Hallmark movie marathon with Lizzy and Isobel for Valentine's Day."
"Thank goodness." I accidentally blurted out.
"What?" Max was confused.
"Nevermind. Sure, i'll drop her off in about an hour." I said smiling. Well, I was grateful that Max didn't send me the chocolates, but if he didn't, who did? With that question still lingering in my head, I picked Lizzy up from school and took her home. After Lizzy got ready, the two of us began to walk over to our neighbor's house.
Tilly had a whole assortment of blankets lain out on the floor. Once noticing Lizzy and I, Isobel and Tilly came running over, and hugging us. Harvey then came into the entrance. "Hello Lizzy!" he said, coming over and picking Lizzy up. "Harvey, put me down." she giggled. Harvey then let her down. "Hi Lana." he smiled; "Would you like to join Max and I in the kitchen? We're making brownies for the girls."
"Of course," I smiled and followed him into the kitchen. Max was already there, surrounded in a big mess of flour. I shook my head. "What did you guys do this time?" I laughed.
"I already told you, we're making brownies." Harvey said.
"Well, we're trying to make brownies. Please help." Max laughed.
"You definitely need all the help you can get," I said, picking up an egg. They were hopeless when it came to baking. "Weeee need music." I told them; "Alexa, play 'Cold in LA' by Why Don't We." "Playing 'Cold in LA' by Why Don't We." The three of us continued to jam out to songs like 'Big Plans', Jayden's new song called 'You Not Him', and 'Trade Hearts', until we were done making brownies. "I'm going to go bring these to the girls." Max said, picking up the tray of brownies. I'm not sure why, but when Max left the room and it was just Harvey and I, my cheeks started to heat up and turn red. It seemed his were doing the same. We had been alone together hundreds of times, why was this any different? Harvey walked closer to me.
"So.... What do you want to do?" he put his hands in his pockets and the two of us just awkwardly stared at each other until Max finally came back, breaking the silence; "If you want a brownie, I suggest grabbing one now, before the girls eat them all." he laughed. I then walked over and grabbed a brownie from the living room. "Lana, why are you taking our brownies?" Lizzy jokingly said, with her arms crossed. "The brownie isn't for me it's for..... um. Freddy!" I said, spotting the golden retriever in the corner; "Really, Lana? The brownie if for Freddy?" Isobel laughed. "Yes, Pippa isn't letting him have one. Bye now!" I said, quickly getting out of the room.
I looked at both Max and Harvey before finally saying, "If anyone asks, Freddy ate this." I gulped down my brownie and headed upstairs. The three of us decided to watch To All the Boys I've Loved Before. Well, by the three of us, I mean I did. After a lot of convincing, the boys finally gave up and decided to watch it with me. I sighed. "Noah Centineo is sooooo attractive." Max looked at me like I was insane. Harvey looked as if he was jealous, but why would he be? He has no reason to be. Right?
At the end of the movie, Max looks at us and said, "She should've ended up with Josh."
"Are you insane?!" Harvey yelled at Max; "She and Peter were soulmates!" I rolled my eyes and laughed at them. "I'm assuming you two liked the movie."
"I would've if she ended up with Josh." Max said.
"Why in the world do you think she was better with Josh?!" Harvey retorted.
"I don't know because she just was!"
"She and Peter made a way better couple."
"Did not."
"For all you two know, in the next movie she could end up being a single independent women." I told them. "Or she could be with Josh." Max mumbled.
"I'll bet you fifty dollars she ends up with Peter."
"Deal."
"Fine, make sure you have enough by the time it comes out."
"Or you could just read the book and one of you could get your money now." I suggested. Harvey shrugged. "Too much work." I laughed. The three of us then continued to discuss the movie until Lizzy and I went home. I climbed into my bed and tried to go to sleep, but all I could think about was Harvey. Did I like him?
