Lana's (POV)
I quickly pulled my hair into a ponytail as Lizzy dragged my arm out the door. "Let's go, Lana!" She giggled and smiled; "we're going to be late to the barbecue!" We were meeting a few families at the park for a barbecue. While I didn't get along with everyone who was going, I knew I would still have a good time!
When I got to the park, I scanned my surroundings. Max was stalking to Leo and Oliver. Hannah was talking to Emery and Sierra. Harvey was doing something with Tilly. Lastly, my friends were all huddled in a circle. I headed towards them and Ava noticed me. "Heyyyyyyyy Lana!" She said, almost as if she was trying to alert the other girls I was her. "Hiiiiiii." They also said at the same time. Something was off. "Let's go get something to drink," Sarah said, linking our arms. She then led me in the direction of the table with drinks. As Sarah was pouring us some lemonade, and saw Emily whispering something to her brother, Tom. That's not suspicious at all.
"I need to go check on....... Helena. (Ava's sister) I promised I would go help her with uhhhhhhhh with her hair!" Sarah begin to walk in the other direction when I said, "Oh okay, I'll just go back to everyone else then." She stopped abruptly and told me, "No, it's okay, I'll be right back." She have a nervous smile and walked away. What was up with her?
