a/n: ignore the fact that they are in Germany, just pretend w me that they aren't😂
Lights were hanging from the wall as Sarah and I walked in. She has been coming since the last two parties. We then walked into the living room where we were greeted my Max and Harvey. Lizzy had already gone off with Tilly. We hung out together in the living room for a few hours before Max finally announced, "We are going to play... Twister!!" Oh no. Time to die. First up was Tilly, Lizzy, and the parents. Thankfully, it took awhile. I was delaying the inevitable, but my turn would coming eventually. I loved many games, but Twister was the most embarrassing of them all. As the awkward person I was, I was always the first one to trip over either themselves or someone else and lose. Everyone fell one after another until finally Tilly won. "Our turn!" Sarah said, skipping over to the sheet lain on the ground. Great. The four of us all took our spots. "Left foot on green." Tilly began.
After a few minutes, Max had gotten out by not being able to hold the crab position. After a few more, Sarah also fell. It was just Harvey and me. I had never been one of the last two players before. The hope that I could actually win gave me determination. I looked Harvey in the eyes and told him with full confidence, "you're going down."
"Not until you're lying on the floor." He smirked. "Right hand on red." I pulled my right hand over my left hand and put it on a left circle, struggling to stay up. Harvey smiled, in a completely comfortable position. "Right foot on yellow." This time I had the upper hand. I smiled while I watched Harvey try to lift one leg over his hand, onto a yellow circle. He couldn't get it over. He tried until he finally fell, admitting defeat. The second I noticed him fall, I hit the ground. I then got up and cheered. Harvey wrapped me into a big hug, "good job, Lana." He whispered, putting butterflies in my stomach. I smiled. "You too."After about thirty minutes, the twins stood in the front of the living room. "Thank you all for coming. We are going to start by singing 'Where Were You.'" We all clapped. Harvey took a deep breath in before finally stared, "Could've been a stranger the one person I might've missed."(Srry if that was wrong, I'm too lazy to look up the lyrics, pretty sure it's right though.😂) You could tell both of the twins were getting lost in the song. After finally finishing, Harvey began to say, "I wrote this song a few months ago. It means a lot to me" Harvey glances at me; "I hope you enjoy it."
"You make every step you take look like ballet." Max started. Harvey smiled. Once Harvey joined in, you could tell he was putting his whole heart into it. "Still getting used to nervous, I'm never getting used to your perfect." I couldn't help but smile as they sang the song. It was truly amazing. "Thank you so much." The both smiled. After talking for awhile, we headed home. Sarah was spending the night. "I wonder who that song was about." Sarah said, as the two of us sat in bed.
"What do you mean?" I asked her, confused.
"Well it was kind of obvious Harvey wrote it about someone." Sarah shrugged. I thought for a moment. What did she mean? "How so?" I asked.
"Well why else would it 'mean a lot to him.'?" I thought back to when he talked about "Nervous". He did say that the song meant a lot to him. "I guess you're right." I shrugged. She rolled her eyes and laughed. "Of course I'm right. Who is it about though?" She thought for a moment before yelling; "YOU!" I smacked the palm of my hand to my forehead. "Lizzy is sleeping." She put a hand over her mouth. "Sorry," she whispered. I laughed.
"It wouldn't be about me. He doesn't feel like that about me." I shrugged, with a small frown tugging at the edges of my lips. "Who else would it be?!" She whisper-yelled. I shrugged. Who would it be?
