Part one: Lana and the Mills grew up inseparable. Only a month apart and neighbors, the three were constantly spending time together. But everything changes when Lana begins to develop feelings for Harvey.
Part two: The whole gang decides to escape...
a/n: basically, if I did the timeline correctly, they arrived on a Saturday. So Willa would've gone back to school after last chapter(she'll still be in it though). Sorry for mistakes. I was too gosh darn lazy to check over and make sure. So yeah....
It had been a few days since we arrived and we were having a blast! We had gone to the beach every single day. Though we missed Willa around the house, we still continued to have an amazing time. Today, Dylan was supposed to arrive. He was going to meet us later that day at dinner.
I had gotten a text earlier from Willa that day, saying that she got us a reservation a restaurant in tow. Dylan was going to meet us sometime dinner, but he wasn't sure of them time because the plane could be late, early, delayed, etc.
"We're going to see our bestfriend today!!!" I smiled, embracing Harvey. We were all really excited to see Dylan again. It had been a few months since any of us had seen him. Even his family hadn't seen him in a while! The Henry's were making sure that we took a TON of pictures.
After getting ready for dinner, Ava, Sarah, Emily, Ruby, Kimberly, and I got in the car to go pick Willa up.
"First the whole LA thing and now this?! I can't believe you Willa." I could hear someone saying from the inside of Willa's house. "Look, I'm sorry Luke, but you know that's not really my sorta of thing." Willa's voice said, calmly. "Willa, you don't want to do anything!" The guy, Luke, yelled. This guy sounded like a jerk. "You know I don't like big events like that. But if it matters that much to you the-" he cut her off. "You know what Willa? We're over." "Seriously?! You're going to break up with me over some stupid dance?!" Willa said, raising her voice. "It's not just that Willa! It was bound to happen soon anyways. We both know long distance wouldn't last between us."
"Fine." Willa simply said, grabbing her purse and walking out the door. She held a strong composure as she walked outside. "You okay?" I asked her. "Yes. Thank you for asking." She replied, you could tell she trying to hold back tears. Every now and then on the car ride, one would slip out. "Who was that?" Sarah said, in a calm tone. "He was my boyfriend." She took a deep breath in; "I mean, I guess that us breaking up was a good thing. I'm leaving for LA after senior year with Lilia and Anna. It wasn't going to last." You could her the pain in her voice. She shrugged; "It's been coming for a while. He knows I don't like his friends. He was upset that I'm moving. I guess me not going to the dance was just the breaking point." She frowned. Willa, being the optimist she is, was trying to pretend like everything was okay. "Willa, I know you're upset, even if you won't say it." I told her, in a comforting voice; "but we are going to have an amazing time tonight at dinner. Most importantly, we are going to that dance and you are going to look absolutely bomb!" She smiled. "Thanks Lana. You know what, we're all going to that dance." I was so glad my cousin was cheering up. I was excited to go to her dance and meet all of her friends. Most importantly, I was excited to show this Luke what he was missing.
Around half way through dinner, Willa says "Is water wet?" I smacked my hand to my head. Not this again. "It's not wet." Tom said. Willa glared at him. "I have to agree with Tom." Kimberly said. Willa then turned her glare to Kimberly. "It's wet." Sarah said. "Finally someone agrees with me!" Willa said, excitedly. I laughed. "Things have to be dry before they can be wet." Kimberly said. Emily thought for a moment before saying, "not babies." "That's disgusting." Kimberly said.
"But true." Ava added.
"I mean, she's not wrong." Sarah said.
"Water wets stuff, it's not wet itself." Ruby said.
"I'm not getting into this." Harvey said.
"That's a good idea." I told him. Dobby then got on his phone and looked it up. "Water is wet because of it's strong tetrahedral hydrogen bonding." Dobby said. "YES!" Sarah shouted. "That means nothing." Harvey said. "I'm pretty sure it proves my theory." Willa said.
They all continued to argue while Harvey and I talked until I saw someone with light blonde hair coming into the room. "DYLAN!!" I yelled, running towards my best friend. "I MISSED YOU SO MUCH!" I then wrapped him in a big hug. He laughed. "Missed you too Lana." We both smiled. He then walked over to the table. After everyone said hi to him, we sat back down to eat. "So Dylan, do you think water is wet?" Willa said. I shook my head. She just loved to start arguments.
