Part one: Lana and the Mills grew up inseparable. Only a month apart and neighbors, the three were constantly spending time together. But everything changes when Lana begins to develop feelings for Harvey.
Part two: The whole gang decides to escape...
(Lana's pov) "Welcome to Camp Whitfield! I will be the head of this camp, Ruby Whitfield. This camp was started by my grandfather forty years ago. I am so excited to welcome all of the new councilors and campers! Have a wonderful time! We will be sorting groups in a minute." The head councilor said before exiting the room.
A tall boy with chestnut brown hair then came up to me. "I'm Sam." He said in a quiet voice; "and you are?" He smiled. "Lana. Lana Gessony." "Where do you come from?" He asked. "Berkshire, you?" "Liverpool." He replied. I nodded. Rachel then came skipping up to us. "I see you've already met Sam. Come on, I'll introduce you to the rest of my friends." She said, smiling. She then led me over to a group of teenagers near a table.
"This is Jenny." She pointed to a girl with dark brown hair. The girl, Jenny smiled. "And this is Carter." She nudged a boy who was running a hand through his hair. He smirked. "Daniel." She gestured to a boy with strawberry blonde hair. "And lastly, this is Lia." Lia gave a warm smile and reached out her hand. "Nice to meet you!" She said as I shook her hand. "Everyone, this is Lana. Come on, I'll show you the rest of her friends now."
After introducing my friends to Rachel's, all of us headed to a nearby table.
When then assembly ended, Sarah and I headed back to our cabin to meet our campers. We entered to clothing scattered everywhere, girls taking selfies, and squealing. A lot of squealing. "VENESSA IM SO HAPPY TO SEE YOU AGAIN!!!" A girl with a blonde high pony tail yelled. "OMG! IM SO HAPPY TO SEE YOU KYLIE!!!" The other girl, Venessa screeched.
Another girl sitting on her bed rolled her eyes. "You two were literally just texting eachother on the group chat. It's not they big of a deal." Venessa and Kylie huffed. "It's different Tyra." The girl sitting on the bed, Tyra, shrugged.
"Um. Hi everybody!" I started, with a smile. Everyone continued with what they were doing. "I'm Lana!" I tried to say over the noise. "EVERYONE LISTEN UP!" Sarah yelled, causing everyone to look at her. "Thank you." I whispered to her. She nodded.
"I'm Sarah and this is Lana." She said smiling. The girls all waved and smiled. "Could you all please introduce yourselves. We could make a game out of it if you want." I said smiling. "Let's make a game out of it." One girl with dirty blonde hair said. I nodded. "Well. Almost every time I was at a camp we would pass around a ball. When we got the ball we had to say our names and one thing about ourselves." Sarah told them. They all nodded.
I grabbed the ball and started. "My name is Lana and I really like fruity pebbles!" I smiled and then passed the ball the the girl across from me. She had wavy brown hair. "My names Destiny and my favorite animal is a dog." She said quietly. I gave her a warm smile. "I love dogs." I said. Destiny then passed the ball to the girl next to her. "Hi! I'm Riley and I have been taking ballet since I was 4." She announced. "Same!" Sarah said, reaching over to give her a high five which was soon returned.
Riley then passed the ball to the girl who was named Kylie. "Hello everyone! You guys all already know me except for the councilors, but I'll introduce myself anyways. My name is Kylie. I REALLY like to sing." She said peppily. I nodded. "I'm no good at singing, but my boyfriend is a singer actually." I told her. Her eyes widened. "Really?! What's his name?!" She asked. "Harvey. You will probably meet him this summer." I told her. She smiled.
Kylie then passed the ball to Sarah. "Hello. My name is Sarah and I believe in unicorns." She said. "Unicorns aren't real!" Riley said. I laughed and Sarah jokingly glared. "Yes. They. Are." Sarah passed the ball to Tyra.
"Hi. My name is Tyra and I live on a farm." She said with a smile. "It used to be my biggest dream to be a unicorn farmer." Sarah sighed while the girls in the cabin laughed. Tyra passed the ball to Venessa. "Hey! My names Venessa and I LOVE boys." She said, causing the whole cabin, including me, to burst out into laughter.
