time skip to age 18

finally, both lannan and i were 18. i avoided going out when i turned 18 because i wanted to wait for lannans birthday so we could first go together.

i got ready to go out, putting on some makeup and a nice dark blue dress that went down to my knees.

just as i finished brushing through my hair and doing the finishing touches, my phone started to ring.

incoming call:
lenny :)

i smiled and picked up my phone, swiping answer and putting the phone to my ear.

"hi lannan" i said as i answered

"hey (y/n). i'll be in my car outside in 10 minutes. be there or be square" he replied, instantly ending the call once he said it.

"um okay then" i laughed, putting my phone back down

once i was ready, i made my way downstairs and out the front door. lannan was waiting in his car exactly like he said he would be.

i opened the door and got inside, giving lannan a quick hug over the seats.

"happy birthday!"

"thankyou. let's go have some fun" he replied

"when do we ever not have fun?" i laughed as lannan started to drive.

shortly after, we arrived at a club. from the car park, we could already hear the music and laughter blasting through from the inside.

we walked in and headed straight to the bar.

"i'll get these ones, a birthday treat" i smiled

"thankyou" he replied

we ordered our drinks, along with a shot each, which we quickly downed. we took our drinks and walked to the centre of the club where everyone was dancing.

the music was blaring loudly and lannan started to jump around like a lunatic. i joined him and we were joking around, constantly making eachother laugh.

as the night went on, so did the drinks. we kept taking trips back to the bar, ordering more and more drinks.

"another drink?" i asked lannan, taking the last sip of mine.

"sure, i'll wait here" he handed me his empty glass and i went back over to the bar.

as i was waiting for the drinks, i felt a tap on my shoulder. i turned around to see an unfamiliar man towering over me. i could smell the strong alcohol coming from his breath.

"you wanna leave your boyfriend and come with me?" he slurred

"he's not my boyfriend" i replied

"even better" he smirked, taking my hand

just as he began to pull me away against my will, he was pushed away from me and lannan stepped in between us.

"leave her alone" he shouted

"oh fuck off" he scoffed, throwing his drink on the floor and he stormed off.

we continued to party for a little while longer, until we couldn't bare to have any more drinks.

neither of us were sober enough to drive so we had to order an uber back home.

once we got back home, i was planning to head back home, but lannan pulled me to his house and through the front door.

we went up to his bedroom and he flopped straight down onto his bed. i laughed and got into his bed next to him and fell asleep.
