Bzzzz! Bzzzz!
"Hummm, I don't want to talk to him right now." Lorie said sobbing through her words. "If he cared..." she stopped herself.
"Mind if I ask who's calling?" Oliver said, not trying to butt in. "It's no one." She said. "Lorie please, you're my best friend, have some sort of trust in me." He continued, "Is there something going on with you and James?" Fuck. "Why would ask such a thing?" It was the first time anyone ever questioned her about it. "Well, not that I was stalking you or eavesdropping, but, I see how you guys talk to each other and laugh at everything. How he gets when he makes you laugh and you grab his arm. In the video, it's all passion." They arrived to Lorie's apartment after he finished talking. He unbuckled himself, "You can tell me, I promise I won't say anything to anyone. I just want to help protect you as much as I can." Oliver let out a long breath, "I'll support you no matter wh-" "Okay." Lorie interrupted him, "James and I have been seeing each other for about a month now. The reason his wife attacked me the way she did was because she knew that we had something going on before they divorced. They divorced because of me. She doesn't know we're together but, I'm sure seeing me there and after the video premier, just triggered her. I don't blame her, which is why I took it." She didn't look up, but after Oliver didn't say anything she had to. "Are you mad?"
"No, I'm sorry! I'm not mad, I'm just trying to process all this information. Did this all happen before or after I left?"
"It's been there since day 1." Lorie smiled, "I've always loved James, as a fan you know. But when I got to meet him and work with him, it just... made me see a side of him I hoped to see. A dream come true." She sighed. "But sadly, we can't ever have anything special like that. I think today just proved it."
Oliver spat out, "You know James went to your aid as soon as I yelled right? He punched that guy right in the face, a very dangerous move I might add. He also stopped Francesca from hitting you once more." He looked down, "He went after you, when you left. But, I told him to wait it out, which is why I came. He told me where you ran to." Lorie's heart sank but a good kind of sink. "He came for me?" She wiped a tear. "Yeah, I'm sure that's why he's calling and calling you."
'Baby, please answer me.' -James.
"Answer him, I'll get an Uber home." Lorie and Oliver got out her car and waited on the steps for his Uber. When the car arrived they hugged goodnight. "Thank you so much Ollie." Lorie was relieved to have an amazing friend like him. "Don't even worry about it, you're my best friend. I'll always have your back." Oliver answered back, in that moment a black car went to park at Lorie's drive way. "I think you 2 need to have a very important conversation." He said as he got in his Uber. "You told him to come?"
"No, he said he was going to come later." He smiled and left.

JAMES' POV
"Where are you going?" James got to whisper to Lorie as she passed him. "Lorie!" He said louder. When she got out the door. He tried to run to her but Francesca held her hand at his shoulder.
"Don't go James, please." She said in a serious tone. "I don't have to listen to you anymore." He removed her hand from his body and walked towards the door. "James! Wait!" His ex wife yelled, "think about it real good. Is this girl worth what we worked so long and hard for?" James looked at his wife, "Worth every single thing." He ran outside and out was Oliver.
"I don't know where she went. I don't know her new car." He worried for her. "She's probably parked way in the back, I'll go find her." James said as he left the steps. "Hold on James," he grabbed him by the shoulder also, "I think I should go." They both look at each other, "go clean up the mess inside and I'll get Lorie home and you come talk to her afterwards." James didn't know whether to agree with him or punch him also in the face. "Lorie just needs time to calm down, and there's no way we can let her drive like that." James sighed really loud. "Alright man, go. She should be in very back. Make sure she's alright." Oliver left and James went back inside, as soon as he opened the door everybody was gossiping on what had happened. "Alright everybody, sorry to cut it short but, get out." He demanded so seriously. "I'm sorry, but I need everyone to leave." He looked up and went straight to his room.
"Alright, you heard!" Kirk yelled and then it followed with Lars, Rob and the security team escorting everyone outside. "Fran," Lars motioned her to go to where he was, "I think it's best if you leave and come back when James is ready to talk." He said scratching his beard. "You're kicking me out Lars?" She was really surprised, "after everything we've done together?" "I'm sorry I just think it's best for you and James."
"Fine. I'll leave." She stormed off with the rest of the crowd.
*Knock Knock*
"Hey man, are you okay?" Kirk went in.
"Ummm... you know what dude, Lorie and I are together. I'm tired of hiding it, I really like her. And I feel like today just messed up everything for us." James was saying as he changed his clothes. "Imma go and head out to her place. We need to talk and I'm going to tell her that we should go public with our relationship." Kirk did nothing but smile, he went up to James and hugged him. "Let me know what happens man." He released James and went home. No one was at his house by the time he got ready to go. It was a lengthy ride especially because he didn't know what was going through Lorie's mind. He pulled in to a beautiful apartment complex and saw her waiting for Oliver to get in his ride. He parked and got off. James waived goodbye at Oliver and went to Lorie, "Hey babe," She looked up at him with her big brown eyes.
