A knot interrupted my thoughts and I jumped slightly. I ran over and opened the door, where Alastor stood with a Cheshire grin on his handsome face.
"My dear, you look stunning." He purred, offering me a single white rose. I blushed and took it.
"Thank you," I replied, touched. It had been been a very long time since a man had been so sweet to me.
Offering me his arm, Alastor led me down the stairs and outside to a town car, where we took off down the red lit streets of Hell. I felt like Cinderella going to the ball.
"Where are we going?" I asked, glancing over at my date.
Giving me a smile, he answered, "That's a surprise. Just wait, we're almost there."
