A/n: Hey guys... I hope y'all are not too mad at me, even though I know there aren't too many of you. Y'know I always saw those jokes about Wattpad writers having the most traumatic stories about why they haven't been able to update and I always thought they were JUST jokes.. but man I get it now.

Long story short I lost my job shortly after I got dumped, and then lost some of my two closest friends I was supposed to be moving in with not long after that, my whole life quite literally went up in flames in a month LOL and in all that, I sort of forgot about all this.

So once again I really am sorry for dipping for a minute, I really did just suffer the Curse of the Wattpad Author or something.

Here's the next chapter! Obviously, I'm releasing off-schedule right now but starting with the next part I will be releasing back on my Saturday schedule.

It was a nice day; sunny, and hardly a cloud in the sky. Kaldur, Superboy, Rob, M'Gann, and I all headed down to the beach surrounding the cave. M'Gann ran ahead, and I followed after her, laughing. It was nice to be out with the whole team having fun. Well, almost  the whole team.

"Hello, Megan!" M'Gann cheered. "We should hit the beach every day."

Robin placed his hand over his face. "First, a moment of silence for our... absent... comrade."

"Poor Wally.."

That's right, Wally's first day of school was today. That's tough...

At first, I had regretted telling Dinah I didn't want to go to school, but now, all that regret had washed away. I'd much rather be here.

After our little "moment of silence", we got right into it. Splashing around in the water, grilling hotdogs, playing volleyball, and we even covered Superboy in a giant mountain of sand.

After we had our fun, Batman called us into the main room. Apparently, he had someone to introduce to us. We all suited up and headed to HQ, where Green Arrow, Batman, Red Tornado, and a girl I hadn't seen before were waiting. She had really long blonde hair that was pulled up into a tight ponytail. She had a bow, too, and Green Arrow's symbol was neatly printed on her green top.

"Everyone, this is Artemis." Green Arrow introduced. "She'll be joining the team."

"It's nice to meet you," I smiled. "I'm Nightingale." I stuck out my hand for her to shake, which she accepted with a small smile.

Rob raised his hand. "Robin. And that's Aqualad, Miss Martian, and Superboy." He gestured to each person as he introduced them.

"Recognized—Kid Flash, B03." The computer's monotone voice echoed throughout the room as Wally ran in wearing his swim trunks and carrying way too many things.

"The Wall-Man is here! Now let's get this party star—" Wally tripped, sending the beach ball he was carrying flying off and bouncing in between Tornado and Batman. They were unamused.

"—ted." Wally finished, looking and sounding defeated as he lay on the ground.

"Wall-Man, huh?" The new girl spoke up. "I love  the uniform. What exactly are your powers?"

I like her already.

"Uh, who is this?"

"Artemis. Your new teammate."
