Where is the skip button?!
Gaines rattled the cage. His head started hurting from his mounting frustration. How can he play with blocks with a baby?! How can he take another slam from that fat cheeks of a twin brother?! He was anxious as he heard the nonsense spilling out from that energetic monster closing in on him behind. His head started to work hard on how to find purchase between the wholes and started climbing the stupid gate. He could hear his mom talking to his older brother, Henric.
Gaines was a restless child. Unlike any omega child Judde and Shu Wei knew. It was as if the traits of an alpha was more prominent in him. The weak traits of an omega baby  was not inherited much to Shu Wei's delight. He knew too well how difficult it was when he was young and still remains so into his adulthood. That incident was another reminder of his inherent weak constitution.
The couple were young but could be considered veterans considering this was their second time having children.
It was a very startling situation for them. It was a miraculous how they were borne without too much complications. If any, they disappeared after hitting 18 months.
They were extremely happy and grateful nothing bad had happened. They did not know that they were suppose to have one baby survived. An omega was a fragile being, anything bad gone on in the belly and his life would extinguished.
Gaines felt like an incoming heart attack was happening as he tumble to the other side of the cage. Finally free from his prison. He stilled himself from the dizziness and righted himself on his wobbly stubby legs. He looked back in triumph only to panic at the tell tale sign of his twin's incoming siren call. His strangely colored eyes shimmered under the living room light, mouth distorting as his little chubby body lean against the gate. Gaines could only desperately try running towards his mother, away from the demon spawn.
Probably because he had paid all his attention on him he found himself being comfortable in his mother's smothering affection.
He hated when his twin brother cried so he struggled to escape his crib several times at night. It probably was the cause of them anxiously buying the gates that could be found everywhere. The stairs, the kitchen entrance, the front entrance, even his father's office. He remembered his nights began with him tumbling on the soft thick carpet which was very comfortable to lay on. He stumbled onto his stubby feet tottering and falling on his butt many times then he stubbornly crawled to the door which was cracked a bit. Though, they had a baby monitor to watch and hear any noises from their room, they still made sure the door was open so it was easier to get to them faster.
It was very convenient for him as he wanted to go out. There were several rooms. One was Henric's near the stairs.
His big brother here had turned ten years of age. A bathroom was across his. He turned to his left where a light slip through a cracked door into the dark hallway. His parent's master room was right next to them. The others were just closets to keep extra blankets, pillows and sheets for guests. He crawled towards the door and pushed it wide open.
There were clothes strewn on the floor.
He paused for a moment. Wondering if it was such a great idea now. Then he remembered that his ears had been abused for too long.
He crawled to where two arms hung out the side of the bed.
"Ma"
"Ma"
He reached out tugging the tangled hands hanging out above him.
"Ma"
They stirred. Then jolted up. His mother gasping in shock.
"Baby?!"
His father groaned. "Why the heck are you here?"
"Judd!"
"Fine fine"
Judd picked him up carefully.
He was always scared of hurting his children every time he carried them.
Gaines let himself be picked up then he reached for his mother. He was a bit irritated at his father. His mother took him into his warm arms kissing him on the cheek and running his soft hands through his hair and down his back to pat him slowly and gently.
He was a bit drowsy.
"Did baby miss mommy?"
He fell asleep to the soothing murmurs to his mother.
He was a bit embarrassed. He had no choice. Babies don't have any human rights.
"Ma ma ma ma ma"
He hated how helpless he was as a toddler.

Being stuck in a baby's body can be a torture sometimes but I imagine there are some perks to it too.
I'm gonna be skipping timelines. Gaines will begin to learn more of this strange world as he grows.
