Mo was not happy.
The days converged into one.
He became mechanical.
When he looked out his window by chance he saw his brother laughing carefree with his mother playing with the pups.
It will take years until he became okay again.
For now his shoulders were crushed by the heavy expectations from his own pack. A mate was on the back burner in his mind. In his eyes were endless responsibilities. There was no time to complain.
No time for rest.
His father was not here but he would know if he slacked off though he was far from a slacker.
The landline rang on his desk and he hesitates before firmly picking it up to answer.
"Demis house. Who am I speaking to?"
"Hello! When are you free?"
"Omertà, what is it?"
"The guys are getting together for a party before they look for their mates"
"Don't call me if there's nothing important"
He was going to hang up but halted.
"I know you were gonna say that but I got something your father may like" His sing song voice started to irk him.
"Oh?"
"My father been talking to me about trying to reach out to you guys. Don't you have a brother that's also an alpha? He's pretty interested in how your going to deal with that"
He slammed down the phone and didn't think about the conversation.
That guy was not his friend.
A friend of a friend of a friend he forgot the name of.
But he acted like a slave for everyone.
What was his objective trying to get close to him?
An alpha with a weak mind. Omertà was a strange wolf.
He was widely known as the bastard wolf. A product of a Forest spirit and an Alpha wolf.
His pack he remembered was in a good position for hunting games.
Although they did not need to hunt too much and it was not necessary but it was in their nature to do once in a while.
There was a delicate nature between balancing their human and wolf nature.
Both can turn savage.
The other has more sophisticated means to overcome that state the other can fall deeply into instincts.
When there is a tipping point.
They start to turn unfamiliar.
They were no longer considered as a pack mate the moment they fall deeply into one side. They either become too human or too wolf. Either way, they will not be able to come back to being themselves again and become lost.
They are considered the Lost Children of the Moon.
