I hadn't seen him in years. Yet when I saw standing by the doorstep I could recognise him from miles away. He still looked the same from all the those year ago. Except he was noticeably taller and his jaw line was more pronounced. He still had those brown eyes that reminded me of roasted expresso beans, lively yet comforting.
He smiles his big toothy grin and I can't help but smile too.
I pull him into a hug. "Michael I can't believe you're here."
He chuckles. "I could say the same thing. Since when did you become friends with everyone here?"
The guy behind him clears his throat. "Could you guys do this reunion thing later? I'm hungry and would like to get some food inside."
Michael steps aside and lets the guy enter. He bolts into the kitchen and grabs a plate and asks if the food is ready. I could hear Lexi laugh at his desperation for food.
Michael closes the front door behind and sits down on one of the sofas. I follow him and do the same. As soon as Onyx sees him her eyes light up in excitement and she leans over to hug him.
"I missed you so much Michael. Its greak your back."
"I'm glad to be back then. And this time I might stay for longer."
Pippa and Roman come back from the computer section still holding hands. They wave at Michael when they see him and sit down on the sofa opposite to us.
"FOODS READY!" Lexi shouts, causing everyone to charge for the kitchen.
As I entered the kitchen I saw a wide selection of meals. There was pasta, rice, veggie wraps , chips, apple pies, cake, cinnamon rolls- to say the least.
My mouth started water at the different variety of foods. I finally settled on some rice and a veggie wrap.
Once everyone had gotten a plate of food and was seated comfortably, Lexi stood up and started to deliver a speech. "I thank you all today for coming here to celebrate are annual Memourius day. To those who do not know what Memourius day is I shall inform you about it now."
All heads turned in my direction when Lexi said that.
She continued, "On this day we remember the good times we have shared during the past year and rejoice at the fact that we all happened to stay together through the tough times.
Then Lexi raised her wine glass that was filled with red bull and yelled. "CHEERS TO OUR OLD MEMORIES AND THE NEW ONES TO COME!"
Everyone raised there wine glasses and clunked them together. "CHEERS!"
And yet even though that speech wasn't directed towards me, for once I felt like I belonged.

Chandler offered to set up some speakers around the and blasted some music from his Spotify playlist. This got everyone excited and in a party mood. We danced and sang all the lyrics from the songs as if we had memorized them off by heart. After a while we go exhausted from all the dancing and Lexi suggested we play a game. Michael had stolen a bottle of beer from his father's cabinet and decided we should play truth or dare.
I had never drunk alcohol before and wasn't planning too until I was legal age. Call me old-fashioned but I liked to follow the law.
The rules of the game was simple: Each player must pick a piece of paper from the bowl which will have either have a truth or dare. If you refuse to say the truth or do the dare you have to drink.
We sat on the floor in a circle with the bowl in the middle.
"Since you're new Hannah you should go first." Chandler said passing me the bowl.
Closing my eyes, I dipped my hand in the bowl and to took out a piece of paper. Dare. It read: Go outside and tell as loud as you can 'I shit myself.'
I walk outside and leave the door wide open so everyone can hear me. It's mostly quiet as it's very late at night so I'm not too bothered about being noticed.
Like the dare had said I stood outside and yelled. "I SHIT MYSELF!"
Just then an old man walking his dog goes past me and eyes me suspiciously. I hear him muttering "Kids these days."
I go back inside my cheeks flushed with embarrassment.
Between Michaels giggles he says,"That was hilarious."
Chandler goes next and gets dare too. His one was to prank call his mum and tell her got a girl pregnant.
Surprisingly he actually did. And his mum was so mad we could hear her screaming in her foreign language even though the phone wasn't speaker. We all laughed hysterically whilst Chandler quickly told his mum it was a dare to escape her wrath that was to be expected when he came home.
The game continued on until eventually everyone had a go. I was exhausted and felt sleepy but didn't have a ride home.
I started to head over to the door but Lexi stopped me.
"You can stay for the night if you want, I'm sure Michael wouldn't mind sharing a bed."
"Plus, she added, you don't even know you're way home from here."
I nodded my head in agreement and followed her up the dwindle of stairs which lead to the beds. I walked to the very end of the room and saw that Michael was already was already there. Half if his body was tucked in the duvet, his head wasn't even resting on the pillow but hanging of the edge of it. His eyelids were shut closed and from closer inspection I realised how long his eyelashes were. I gently lifted the duvet cover, careful not to disturb Michael and let sleep consume me.
