I wake up with a jolt as I hear a blood curdling scream. My eyes first look towards the door which has been slammed open as I see a girl being chucked in by one of Finn's men. The man locks the door before we can even think of escaping.
Before I was unsure about the identity of the girl but now I was certain. I could recognise that auburn hair from anywhere. Amelia Richardson slammed her fists against the door screaming. "LET ME GO! I'LL GET MY DADDY ON YOU." The screams quickly escalated into sobs as she buried her face in her knees.
She hadn't even realised the rest of us were there until I walked over to her and tapped her gently on the shoulder. Raising her head upwards, she met my gaze. Her eyes that usually sprouted confidence were now scared and afraid.
"Are you okay?" I said as I extend my hand to help her up.
She doesn't answer but instead looks at my hand debating whether or not to accept my help. After a few seconds she begrudgingly accepts my hand and I lead to her the mattress where the others were.
I sit down but Amelia frowns at the mattress in distaste crossing her arms.
I pat the a space on the mattress beside me. " Come and sit down next to me."
Amelia shook her head quickly. "There is no way in hell I'm sitting on that. I don't want to catch any germs."
"I apologise we don't have a four poster bed fit for your needs." Pippa said sarcasm filled in her voice. "In case you have forgotten we've been kidnapped!"
"It's not my fault I have high standards." Amelia pauses for a second to play with her nails. Unlike some people."
Pippa stands up her eyes laid on Amelia like she's her prey. But before she can do anything Lexi tugs her arm pulling her onto the mattress.
Lexi glances between Pippa and Amelia. "Behave. Both of you. We can't be arguing like little children like a time like this."
They both sigh and rolled their eyes like children being told off.
All of a sudden we hear someone tapping on a loudspeaker. Finn.
"Well good morning children or should I say good day." Finn laughed at his own joke as we wait for him to continue. "Anyway I'm sure you girls have noticed your new addition. How exciting! Right? I'm getting too distracted let me just tell you the good news. Drum roll please. We can hear a literal drum roll from the loudspeaker. "Your the first ever humans ever to be put into a phone!"
A phone? What is he talking about?
We don't even get to hear a proper explanation as we are escorted out of our room by Finns men and handcuffs are wrung tightly against our wrists. By this point we have given up on trying to fight them because their strength is unworldly.
After passing through many long hallways we finally stop at door to the left. Unlike the others this door has been painted bright red and stands out from the white ones. One of Finn's men knock on the red door and Finn opens it with a huge grin on his face.
He stepped aside and allowed us to enter. Strapped to separate beds with cables connected to their bodies were Charlie, Roman, Chandler and Michael. All around them were flash electronics that look like they're from the future.
"Babe?" Pippa rushed over to the bed that Roman laid on and cupped his face in her hands. "What have they done to you?"
Roman doesn't respond, his whole body was stiff like a corpse in a morgue. His eyes were wide open but he wasn't seeing.
What scared me the most is that they were all like this deadly still.
Amelia looks around the room and her eyes land on Michael. She gaspsed in shock and ran over to him and kissed him on the forehead and grabbing hold of him.
I stand there still not able to register what I'm seeing.
This can't be what I think it is.
Finn fell in peals of laughter. "You really thought they were dead? Don't worry I'm not a killer."
He turned off the lights and I couldn't see a thing. Slowly but surely I was getting tired. I felt as if my legs and were refusing to work. The last thing I heard Finn say was "But I am an opportunist."
