From what I could tell it was clearly a man. The driver who brought us in was silent in his presence and listened to his every command.
The man clapped his hands and the driver switched on the light switch.
There smiling proudly on a high pedestal was my drama teacher, Finn Ray.
My mouth hung wide open in shock still refusing to believe what I saw. This man had introduced to me to my love of drama in the first place, he had helped me overcome my stage fright. I would even consider him as a trusted adult -- well until now.
Bolting across the room Pippa aimed for Finn but was stopped instantly by one of Finn's men.
"Come and fight me yourself." Pippa says struggling to break free from his men's grip.
Roman runs to towards her to free her but he is wacked against the wall with one fist by Finn's men. He winced in pain and tried to get up again but couldn't find the strength. He mouths sorry to Pippa and she smiled sadly at his effort.
Finn chuckled and stared down from his pedestal. "Not even your own boyfriend can protect you. Or anyone can for that matter. Just look at your friends, they're just standing there and doing nothing. So I advise you to listen carefully to what I have to say. He smiles for a few seconds than it vanishes as soon as it appears.
"We wouldn't want you dead would we?"*****
Finn had split us up into boys and girls and had assigned us rooms. He had allowed us to take of our cuffs but we were expected put them on in his presence. Lexi, Pippa, Onyx and I all followed one of Finn's men all had to share a room together. The room itself was tiny and compacted unlike my bedroom at home. Home. Oh how I wish I could be there right at this minute, and snuggle up on my sofa and watch TV. Maybe even spend time with my parents. I wonder if they knew I had gone by now. I pictured my parents crying as they didn't know where there daughter had gone.A stream of tears trickled down my cheeks as I had come to the realisation of what might happen to me. I was being held captive by drama teacher in an unknown place and I could be killed.
Without speaking Lexi wrapped her arms around me and pulled me into a bundle of warmth. Pippa and Onyx do the same and for a second, a split second I feel safe.
We sit there in silence on the cheap matress we've been provided and just appreciate each other's company. Just knowing that I have someone with me
makes me feel less alone."Isn't it weird that only a few weeks ago we just started Year 11. Onyx said randomly. " I hadn't even thought of the possibility of this happening when we started school."
School. I should be there right now. Who would've thought there would be a time where I desperately wanted to go? It was my last year of seconds school and all the years I practiced for my GCSES would be a waste.
Lexi nodded her head in agreement. "Unlike you guys I actually enjoyed school. No one is as dedicated as I am. Do you know one who volunteers to help out with teachers on a Saturday?"
Pippa smiled reminiscing all the times Lexi had sucked up to teachers. "I remember this one time where this teacher absolutely hated Lexi despite all of the kind things Lexi had done. We had done an assement and the teacher handed everyone back their papers. Poor Lexi didn't get hers even though she had put the most effort in the class. The teacher told her that her paper was eaten by her dog but as we were leaving we saw torn pieces of paper in the bin. Lexi started to cry hysterically but the teacher didn't care.
Lexi smiled too. "I remember that too but you never finished the story. Don't you remember?" Pippa shook her head. You ran up to the teachers desk and ripped up all her paper work and stuck your tongue at her before hurrying home.
We all laugh at the same time as if on cue, finding the situation hilarious. As we're talking it's easy to forget where we really are and it's easy to pretend all of this isn't real.
I'm unaware of what the time is but my mind is telling me to of go to sleep. I can't help but listen so I close my eyes and drift away.
