My eyes swept open and I surveyed my surroundings. It was dark but I knew that I wasn't in my bedroom but a vehicle. I felt around me and trying to navigate my way through the darkness.
"Ow!" The voice shrieked in pain.
I had no idea who this person was and was ready to find out. Crawling on my knees, I followed in the direction of the voice.
"Ever heard of a thing such as personal space?" The mystery voice spoke again.
I was close enough to see the person properly and I was able to make out their features. Brown streaked hair , hazel eyes, caramel skin.
Charlie?
Words couldn't truly explain my reaction. It was a mixture of shock, confusion and anger.
"I know I'm good looking but there's no need to stare." Charlie said as he threw me a wink.
I roll my eyes ignoring his statement. "Tell me what's going on." I demanded crossing my arms.
I don't remember much from the night before but I still recall the text he sent me.
"This is gonna sound crazy but I swear it's the truth."

Pippa scoffed in disbelief. "So your telling me some guy wants to experiment on us?" She eyes Charlie up and down suspiciously. " I don't even know you. How do I know your working with him?""Look if I was working with them -- which I'm not, I know for a fact that I wouldn't stay in this van. We don't know each other well but you have no choice but to trust me."
Pippa didn't respond but her facial expression was easy to put into words. She definitely wasn't going to trust him.
She cosied up to Roman who stared at Charlie with the same suspicion before turning back to Pippa and whispering something in her ear.
By now the others had awaken and Charlie explained the situation to them too. At first they were angry and started to bang on the sides of the van as loud as they could but the driver threatened to kill us with his bare hands if we didn't stop.
Lexi started to whimper in fear as tears slid down her cheeks. Chandler cradled her and assured her it was fine. But even he didn't believe his own words.
Onyx flicked through her bag and grabbed her note book and began to sketch. Her fingers were quick and skilled with the pencil and it was as if she was making magic appear on the page.
Michael peered over her shoulder to check what she is doing. "Don't you think this isn't the right time to draw?" Like an elder brother he scolds her as if she's done something wrong. " You do realise we've been kidnapped and the first thing you do is draw. You need to rethink your priorities."
Onyx rolls her eyes. "I'm the one who's doing all the thinking. She repeats herself again. I'm the one who started to document whats happening to us to use as proof later and has realised that our phones have been taken away from us. Maybe you need to rethink your priorities."
Michael scrambled through his bag to double check if Onyx was telling the truth and sure enough it wasn't there. I too checked my bag and my phone wasn't their either.
Why would they take our phones?
"Told you so." Onyx said her eyes focused purely on the sketches she was drawing paying no more attention to Michael.
Charlie was quiet most of the journey but he was visibly nervous. He kept biting his nails and wiping non existent sweat from his forehead.
The van came to a stop all of a sudden and the driver commanded we get out the van. Sure we outnumbered him but we were not strong enough to fight him. Something about these guys were strange that gave me a weird vibe.
We were then ushered to an abandoned warehouse and handcuffs were fastened onto our wrists. I hated the way we were being treated like wanted criminals.
The driver shoved us into one of the many rooms in the building. It was dark and I couldn't see well. A familiar voice greeted us but I couldn't quite remember who it belonged too.
"Welcome, children."
