It All Started With An App

Chapter 16

"What do we do now? I asked aloud to no one in particular. Finn had left again with no explanation. Onyx walked around the room inspecting every small detail looking for something that could help us to future out what Finn had planned next. Lexi instructed us all to look too speed up time. Of course Amelia didn't participate as she couldn't 'stoop down to our level'. So she sat in the corner of the room on a wooden chair filing her nails.

"Holy Pandora! I think I found something." We all rushed towards Amelia who pointed at a phone on the floor. The screen displayed the Fruit Ninja App.

Chandler quickly grabbed the phone from the floor. "That's mine. But I never downloaded Fruit Ninja."

Lexi frowned. "He's right. I've used his phone on multiple occasions and that app never popped up. Plus he hates it anyways."

"The real question is why you've  used  Chandler's phone so much. What have you two been up to eh?" Pippa said whilst smirking.

Lexi's cheeks heat a little and Chandler chuckled awkardly scratching the back of his head.

"So are you saying that it was already there?" Charlie asked "How is that even possible?"

"How is it even possible that you've been stalking us and we didn't know? At this point I've stopped wondering how all this is possible." Michael said with sigh.

"Anyways," I said trying to change the subject. "Let's play the game to see what happens. I take the phone from Chandler's hand and press play.

Almost immediately an assortment of fruits started to implode from the sky.

Chandler open his arms widely trying to grab as much fruit as possible to stuff in his mouth. "I have no idea what you just did but, thank you!" He told me through a mouth full of watermelon.

Before he can eat more he gets hit square in the face by an apple and collapsed to the ground. "Ughhh, I think I'm dead. He groaned cradling his body.

"Chandler get the hell up." Lexi yelled in his ear whilst dodging a pineapple.
Yanking him by the ear she raised him to his feet.

Onyx silvery eyes gave a sudden spark. "Guys I get it now! We are the ninjas in Fruit Ninja."

"Does that mean we have to slice the fruit then? Roman asked whilst chucking a bannana peel of his head.

Onyx nodded and pulled the katana from her belt. We all mirrored her actions and followed her lead. Like an expert she sliced through the fruits like butter. Whilst the rest of us them missed them completely.

I stare at her my mouth agape.

"How did you do that?"

She turned her back to the katana  and cut through the fruit neatly without even looking.

"I took martial art training when I was four."

She bounced upwards her dark hair flowing gracefully behind her as she flipped backwards slicing fruit in the air before landing  on her feet.

"What can I say I'm used to it."

I follow her blindly swishing the katana through the air missing the fruits completely.  Chandler ran around catching the fruit in his mouth and gobbling it down his throat. Lexi quickly chased after at him yelling at him to stop being greedy whilst occasionally cutting the fruits through the air.

Amelia was still in the corner sat crossed legged on the wooden chair nibbling at an apple she had caught not bothered to try an help us.

She yawned and filed her nails.

"Are you guys done yet because I'm really bored."

Pippa stopped midway of a slicing a fruit and marched towards Amelia her katana still in her hand.

"Listen here red head, how about you doing something for once." Pippa shoved Amelia out from her chair and Amelia toppled to the floor.

The red head sat there stunned for a second before standing onto her feet.

"Fine." She said pulling the katana from out of her waist. "I will."

She strode towards us and shoved me out the way.

"Move Hannie, it's time for the professional to play."

I stood there and watched as she effortlessly cut through multiple fruits that bypassed her.

"The bitch has skills." Onyx whispered to me slightly amused.

Finally one last fruit falls downwards and Amelia slices it before striking her arms out into a pose her katana in the air.

"Voila!" She exclaimed before taking a curtsey. It's silent for a while before Michael slowly claps and Amelia grins.

"Guess who's back, back again!" Finn sings in an overly enthusiastic tone.

We all sigh in dissapointment as soon as we hear his voice.

Finn frowned. "Why are you all so moody! I wasn't like that when I was your age."

"Maybe because you didn't get kidnapped at 15!" Pippa snapped.

Finn shrugged.

"Worse things happened to me at 15.

I want to ask him what he means by that but he clicks his fingers and dissapeared like he was never there before.

Roman groaned.

"How can we ever escape if we're in this weird dimension if Finn keeps leaving? Hell we could be for Madagascar for all we know."

"I know it sucks Ro, but don't lose hope." Pippa entwined her hands into his. "For me at least."

"We're not in Madagascar by the way."
Charlie says.

I knit my brows in confusion.

"How would you know? Don't tell me you've been hiding something again."

Charlie doesn't answer but leads us to the edge of the room.

"I don't get it." Roman said staring at the blank wall. "There's nothing there."

Charlie pointed at a hole in the wall and that's when I saw.
