1: The Mark

The Northern kingdom

All of the villagers, peasants and royals across the northern kingdom are huddled together in the castle trying to stay warm from the dark storm that awaits outside.

Not only is this the worst snowstorm in history that has ever landed in the north. But every female that was expecting was expecting tonight.

Even the queen herself was in her chambers giving birth to an heir.

Some say it was dark magic that was cast down upon the kingdom.

"My king!" The kings guard calls out to him, putting his hand on his shoulder to stop him.

"What is it maverick! My queen is having our child!" The king harshly spits at the young solider.

"My King so are the rest of the ladies that were expecting." The king didn't know what to do.

Everyone who is everyone was in his castle and the night his queen is in labor there is a life-threatening storm outside.

"Get everyone out of their chambers who isn't having a child and get everyone who is expecting into a bed I refuse to let the storm kill the north." Maverick nods and starts screaming commands to his soldiers to get every expecting female into a bed.

The king hurriedly goes to his queen.

The queen screams in pain as does the rest of the castle, when the king enters their chambers.

He rushes to her side. "Sarah! My queen everything's going to be alright." The king soothes his wife as she continues to push.

It takes 4 long hours for the master to see a head. "Just one more push my queen!" She says.

The king slowly stands up to see the delivery of his heir.

"It's a boy!" She announces in joy as their will be a future king to their throne.

"Why isn't he crying!" The King furrows his eye brows and watches as she gives the child to the other maids. "Where are you taking him!" He roars in anger.

"My King the child was not alive." The king rushes to the doctor and grabs her by the throat. The queen starts to scream in more pain and the king quickly lets go of the doctor. The doctors eyes go wide and quickly rushes over to the queen.

"You are delivering yet another my queen!" She says and the king goes back to his queens side.

This time the child is crying. "Oh my..." the doctor was astonished to see such a beautiful princess.

The king walks over to her, refusing to lose another child.

The king brings the child over to his queen. "She's beautiful Henry." The queen coos and takes her daughter.

When the princess opens her eyes both the king and queen frown.

Their lavender.

Those forbidden lavender eyes.

"Oh Henry! She has the mark!" The queen cry's out. The moon crested birth mark on the back of the small child's neck.

The king watched before him as he had lost another child. She may be breathing but she was forbidden to be in their hands.

The child born with the moon crested mark and lavender eyes was to be only in the hands of the beast.

"We must hide her before he arrives." The kings says and goes to take the child away from his queen.

"Henry! She is the beasts. We don't know what he'll do if he cannot have her." She cries out.

"Sarah! She is our daughter. I will not lose yet another child tonight." More tears flow down the queens face and the king rips the child from her hands.
