12: let them burn with their sins

"We are gathered here today to witness our former King Henry the third and Queen Sarah souls being set free." I stand in all black along side the triplets and the beast standing behind me. I have not seen sir James and Maverick stood from afar.

The moment of silence passed as the priest finished the sermon. "We are also here to witness the death of a witch. Charged with treason and harm to the queen." My eyes widen as I watch sir James being pulled out. He was struggling and screaming in what to seem to be Latin. He was being tied to poles and I look up to Maddox in shock. "Your queen is a witch she sees visions and-." They shut him up as one of the guards knock him out.

My face pales and everyone's eyes are on me. The triplets look up at me. "Is this true adi?" Zachary asks and I go to open my mouth claiming that I am not a witch, but the priest interrupts us. "My king, my lady's." The priest says and hands each of us a torch.

I swallow the sudden lump in my throat and take the torch and follow behind the triplets. I hear the girls sobbing and I couldn't help the tears silently falling down my face. "You will not hear me scream." I look to see sir James. His glasses broken and crooked on his face. "But I will." I say and light my torch and walk back to the beast. I watch as the bodies are engulfed in flames and I do indeed start to hear sir James screams.

"Queen Adeline I would like to talk to you privately." I frown as I look up at my brother. His eyes held sadness and a hint of confusion. "Of course my lord." I say and watch as he takes my sisters into the castle.

I jump as I feel rough hands land on my shoulders but calm down when I feel it's the beast. We had talked all night and I had decided to be his acquaintance for now. I know I did not have to fear him as I was but I still had to be cautious about my decisions. I know it wouldn't last as he whispers in my ear. "Don't do anything stupid Adeline." A shiver rolls down my spine and I release myself from his grasp and walk back into the castle.

"You wanted to see me Zachary?" I walk into what once used to be my fathers office. "Everyone is talking about you being a witch. I know your different sister but are you really." I quickly close the door and walk over to him.

"I am no witch Zachary. I am storm-born and my eyes are lavender and my hair white as snow. I was born to be the beasts. The only true thing sir James told was that I have these visions." My brother sighs and hugs me. I take him in my arms and kiss his forehead.

"Elizabeth and Scarlet are worried for you sister." I smile at him. "I will talk to them." We talked for a little longer about the kingdom of wolves and the future of the northern kingdom. It was nice to talk to my brother as him and I were closer than I was with the girls.

I knock on my sisters door and I wait until I hear a loud bang of something falling. I quickly open the door and shock racked over my body. Elizabeth was completely naked and a very large man laid on her bed. I walk in and I realize the man was non other than Damon. "GET. OUT!" I yell and I was to angry to notice how the color drained from his face. He didn't waste anytime grabbing his clothes and leaving.

I look at Elizabeth and she finally had put clothes on. "What were you thinking Elizabeth! Sleeping with a grown man! You are 14 years old and you're sleeping around!" She scoffs and I'm almost taken aback by it. I watch as she moves around the room. "I had my first blood. I am a women now." She sits at her vanity like this wasn't a big deal.

"Elizabeth you are promised to another man." I sit on her bed and try to calm my self down. "Then I'll get to marry someone I love. Scarlet is already arranged to marry the prince of Troy. Where mother is from and we will never see her again." I watch as she walks over to me.
