"Adeline." I cool hand shakes my body awake. I squint as Miriam throws the curtains open. I groan and turn around, facing the wall. "You have a long day ahead of you today." I watch her set white fabric on the bench and brown lace up boots.

"Where am I going?" I sit up and stretch my arms. "Sir James is teaching you today and give you a tour of the castle." I get up and undress from my night gown. The white fabric is a almost see through skirt and the top is white satin ribbon.

"Must you pull so hard?" I ask as she ties the ribbon over my chest and back. "You don't want anyone to see you exposed." I raise an eyebrow as I look at myself in the mirror. My mother would never let me wear such a thing as it's see through and so much skin is exposed.

Once she is done lacing up the top I put the boots on. I walk in a circle, loving the feeling of the lightness of the dress and the tightness of the boots on my feet. I had a pair of boots for when my father would teach me how to shoot a bow.

I run my fingers threw my hair and smooth my dress when Miriam goes and opens the door for James. I stand up and walk over to him. He holds out his arm and I hesitantly loop mine with his.

"I shall let you know now that I am indeed book smart." He chuckles. "I am to teach you about yourself and give you the answers you seek." Goosebumps scatter my body.

Finally, someone was willing to give me answers that I felt I deserved. Why my eyes were lavender. Why I had a moon shaped mark on the back of my neck. Why I was hidden from the kingdom. Why the beast captured me. Why was I having visions every time James grabbed my hand. Why did I kill my brother and give life to 30 others. So many why's that didn't have answers to.

"Woah." We were in the most beautiful garden I've ever see. Well the only garden I've seen. The northern kingdom never had a summer, it was always winter. I bend down and touch the soft grass. I've never felt grass and I really never felt the sun kiss my skin. I was already tan as my mother came from the south. My parents were an arranged marriage and she was brought to the north to marry the northern prince.

"Come My queen, we have much to do." I stand back up and quickly catch up with James. I enjoy the smell of the beautiful flowers that surrounds me. "Please sit." I look forward to see a table and two chairs across from each other. I sit down and look around to see that we were in the middle of the garden.

"It's a very beautiful garden, I mean this whole place is beautiful. I've just ever only seen snow and pine trees." I take a deep breath and close my eyes. I was doing what they call sun bathing. I could see why they did it, My mother said that the sun was something to cherish and to not take for granted.

"It is quite beautiful isn't it. Now let's get started." I flinch when a loud bang hits the table. I look back down at James to see a big book in front of him. "Adeline have you ever heard of Selene?" I shake my head no. He opens the book to a page of a beautiful woman who looks like a goddess and the moon behind her.

"You Adeline are the descendent of Selene. The reason you have the lavender eyes and the mark on your neck. The reason why king Maddox came for you and Maverick protected you." A maid comes over with a trey of tea cups and tea. "Did she curse me?" I ask taking a sip of my tea.

"She blessed you with the power of control. You can control every creature that ever lives." He changes pages and points his finisher on the moon shaped mark that I have on my neck. "Why me?" I ask. "Selene needed to create a gift to those in our world and you were a royal that was conceived with a twin. She knew you would survive, since you had another life source. She gave all her power to you and that surge of power caused the storm and the birth of 30 others."
