Lola walks through the hallway beside Jessica and shakes her head: 'It's ok.' Lola whispers.

Mike hangs around Bella a lot. She knows that her sister does not like it. She does not want his attention, not in that way, but she is afraid to say something.

'He wants to go to La Push.' Jessica says. She doesn't sound as excited as she used to be.

'With all of us.' Lola reminds her.

The rest of the week goes by. Wednesday was a good day, more than actually. She went running with Jonah. It's nice to have him back with her, not just on the phone. They laughed while running and a while after as well.

Sam's house becomes more lived-in. It has the essentials. Lola sits in one of the dining chairs. 'Ok. This is working.' He nods, and she continues: 'I'm going home, and I'll see you later?'

'Can you drive me to the Clearwater's?' Sam asks her.

She takes her jacket: 'Yeah, sure, how is Leah?'

'Good.' He says, getting in the car: 'At least I think so. She is still asking questions, though.' He said that they are always the same set of questions. Are you ok? Why can't you tell me? I just want to help. Leah doesn't know that it's something out of her range, or at least Sam doesn't think she can help, but what if telling the truth is a good idea? Lola does not know what she would do, but it's not for her to decide now. 'I don't have the answers.' Sam continues.'

Lola nods, trying to understand: 'Do you think you'll tell her?'

'Now!' He looks shocked.

'Or later.' She suggests. She didn't expect him to react this way.

He looks in front of him and calms down: 'I don't know. I'll think about it.'

'Ok.' She stops at the side of the road: 'We arrived.' Sam gets out, and Lola takes her phone. A text from her sister: When will you be home?

I'll be home in ten. Lola texts back. She rills and wonders what it is. Ignoring it, she puts her phone in her purse. Then there is shouting. Looking through the review mirror, she sees Sam and Leah in tears. Sam reacts strangely. When another girl comes out of the house, she gets it. Sam looks over Leah's shoulder at the other girl.

He finally takes a step backwards and gets to the car. He opens the door, sits back in the passenger seat, and looks at his feet, "Can you bring me home?"

He stays quiet. Lola glances at him a couple of times. She doesn't know what to say. He imprinted. He found that connection and got rejected. Only that can explain the look on his face.

Lola stops for the door, but he doesn't react. His head isn't in the car anymore. 'Who is she?'

He gives her a surprised look and then looks away again: 'Emily, she is Leah's cousin, but she...' 'She will come back' Lola tries to help him: 'She cannot keep fighting it. The connection is too strong.'

He looks up again and tries to smile: 'So this is it then, how it feels to imprint.' His smile is small, and he only keeps it up for a few seconds.

Lola nods: 'She feels it on some level. She also feels his pain because of what Emily had done when she rejected him.'

They get out of the car. Lola helps Sam to his house and to the table. He doesn't notice the change in surroundings. His face lights up a bit when she gives him tea. He is inside again. 'I want to be alone.'

'Are you sure?' she asks and takes her keys: 'You know you can call me.'

Lola walks to her car, worried. She has every reason to be.

'Something came up. I'll be back soon.' She texts Bella, who answers with a smiley face.

At home, Lola and Bella work together on the chores. They do the laundry together. Lola tries to sing while doing the dishes, and Bella laughs from her chair. She did make the food. A few sister moments, some work, a lot of catching up and a little crazy dancing on a catchy song.

After dinner, Bella reads a romance novel, and Lola is on the phone talking with Jessica. She lays in her bed, her phone in one hand, reacting but mostly listening to her best friend. Jessica tells her all the gossip. Lola laughs, and her friend sounds happy but avoids one topic. And that is Bella.

The weekend turns out shorter than she hoped for. Both sisters have more than enough time for their homework. Lola wanted to do some research on vampires but didn't find enough information. While Bella answers the mail from their mother and finishes her reading assignment a week early.

Lola takes her keys and looks at her sister: 'Do you want to come with me? It's movie night at Jessica's.'

Bella shakes her head.

'Angela will be there as well.'

'It's ok. You don't need to take me everywhere with you. Enjoy the movie.'

Lola hugs her sister and chuckles: 'You know you're an amazing sister.'
