I walked into the office of my Brookline house and pulled the file off the fax machine. I had agreed to take a case protecting a 21 year old high profile girl, I wasn't told much about her just that her father was a very powerful man and someone was trying to kill her. I read over the fax sheet Brooklyn Rosselli
"Brooklyn Rosselli it cant be"
I flipped the page till my eyes fell on her picture, she was gorgeous she looked like a model, a model that can be dangerous in her own right. It was Indeed Brooklyn Rosselli that I was thinking of the daughter of Anthony Rosselli the head of a major crime family. Anthony was vicious, stone cold killer in his own right. He has had many high profile trials from extortion to murder beating them all . It's hard for me to believe that he couldn't easily protect her. His only known weakness was for his daughter. Brooklyn is known for her ruthlessness and attitude. She used her looks and people's fear of her and her father to get whatever she wanted and was never told no. I really don't know why I agreed to take this case then my phone beeped, I picked it up looking at the screen a bank transfer from Anthony Rosselli the payment $500,000 half of the promised payment for protecting Brooklyn half before and half when the job has been completed. I tossed the file in my desk. I pulled the 45 from my desk drawer tucking it into the waistband of my pants. Brooklyn's fight should be arriving at the airport in a couple hours where I would then pick her up. My mother had came over earlier setting up a bedroom for her to make it more homey. I didn't mention who my client was or the reasons I was protecting her not wanting my mother to worry, as far as she is concerned she is just a client and this is just another job.

I was 2 when I jumped into my Durango pulling out of the driveway. I pulled up a short while later to the airport and made my way through TSA showing them my conceal carry permit and my credentials. I stood at the waiting area outside where she be departing her flight. It was 20 minutes before I heard the announcement the plane had touched down. I sighed and turned my attention to the door. A few passengers walked out and that's when I seen her, she stepped out looking like a super model her place jeans hugging her ever curve and shirt cut low accents her chest and the heels she wore made her legs look like then went on forever. Her long straight black hair flowed to the small of her back and her sunglasses made her look like she was ready for a night in LA and not someone who has a hit on them. I breathed in sharply, she is gorgeous but I couldn't let that cloud my judgement she is just another client.

I walked up
"Brooklyn"
"Who the hell are you"
"I'm Joe I'm..."
"Your the bodyguard..please"
"Yea"
"Sweetie I'm gonna way you alive"
With a giggle she walked off towards the baggage pick up.
"You can't just walk away from me"
"I do what I want when I want got it Josh"
"It's Joe"
"Whatever, you gonna get my bags or what"

This girl I don't know if I'm going to be able to protect her if she acts like this. I grabbed her bags and loaded them into my Durango.
"What kind of car is this"
"A Durango I'm sorry my car isn't up to your standards"
"I know you didn't just give me attitude"
"Listen Princess I'm not here to take your shit I'm here to keep you safe"
"Are you giving my shit, you know who the fuck I am"
"I do and I don't care I don't work for you I work for your father and he orders were clear keep you alive and safe by any means nessesary."

She leaned back again the seat arms folded over her chest, she obviously didn't want to be here, but if she can't learn to trust me I don't know how I'm supposed to keep her safe.
We pulled up to my house and put the car in park,
"We're here"
"This is where I'm staying"
"Yea why"
"Kinda small isn't it"
"Well it's just me and Duke my dog"
"You have a dog"
Her eyes light up for a minute when I say I have a dog but as quick as it came is as quick as the coldness came back.
"Can we just get in now please, I don't even know why I'm here anyways."
"Because you father thinks you need to be protected and that's my Job"
"I think my father is just being over protective, who is going to protect you from me"
She giggled and climbed out the car.
I unlocked the door and she stepped in Duke running up jumping up on her.
"Hey buddy aren't you cute"
Her eyes lite up again as she interacted with Duke.
"Duke lay down"
He jumps down curling up on the couch, that light in her eyes shifts.
"Where is my room"
I grabbed her bags and walked her down the hall opening the door across from my room,
"I know it's probably not what your used too but I wasn't expecting guests, my room is right across the hall. How about you settle in, I'll be down the hall in my office.  I placed the bags down and closed the door behind me just to hear a frustrated scream a few moments later.

I sat down at my desk and hung my head
"I don't know if I can protect her like this"
I opened the desk drawer and pulled out her file. I read through looking at pictures of her exploded car, copies of the notes Anthony had received. I grabbed the phone dialing the phone number on the file, the phone rang a few times before it picked up
"Hello"
"Mr Rosselli this is Joe the bodyguard"
"Joesph son how can I help you"
"Mr. Rosselli I appreciate you wanting me specifically for this job but I really don't think that I can do the job effectively"
"And why is that"
"Your daughter is difficult and will not listen, I can't protect her like that"
"Joesph your the best in the business correct"
"Yes"
"I need the best, do whatever you need to do to make sure my Princess is safe. She may not like it but she will eventually get it. I don't trust anyone but you son"
"I don't think"
"Son the family will owe you I will owe you, your the man for the Job son"
"Alright Mr Rosselli"
"Thank you"
And with that the call disconnected. So here I am stuck protecting a self centered egotistical princess and if I some joe mess this up this may infact not only cost me her life but mine.
