Over the next couple of weeks Joe had become increasing distracted. So much so that I speak to him and he just seem to be off somewhere else. I started to worry that he had second thoughts about being here with me or even being with me.

As we sat on the couch it was Monday night, I was cuddled up in his side watching the Bachelor my head resting on his shoulder,

"Joey...Baby...."

"Huh"

"Joey..."

"Damn it Joey!!"

"huh.. what..sorry"

"what the hell was that were did you go"

"sorry was thinking"

"thinking about what"

"nothing"

"something has you distracted"

"its nothing"

"Joey"

"its fine Ok Brook can we drop it please."

"Fine whatever"

and with a sigh my heart just broke a little at this point it was obvious that he is hiding something its just what. All they idea's flew through my head on what could be distracting Joe is he regretting his decision to be with me,regretting packing up and leaving Boston to come here and be with me or could he have met someone else. All these scenerios ran through my head till finally I felt myself break. As I felt the nerves coursing through my veins and my heart drop into my stomach I lifted my hand and wiped the stray tear sliding down my cheek,

"shit"

was all I said as I jumped from the couch and darted into the bathroom slamming and locking the door. With the click of the lock I fell apart, Ive always been the tough one but with Joe I couldnt be and it broke me to see he is so distant and seeming to just push away. I dont know exactly how long I was in the bathroom when I heard a tap on the door,

"Brook baby you okay in there"

I sniffled back the tears,

"yeah Im fine"

"why do you sound like your crying"

"Im fine Ill be out soon"

"I dont think your fine open the door baby"

"no im okay Ill be out in a minute"

"Brook open the door"

"Joe go meet me in the living room"

"no damn it open this door or im kicking it down."

I stood up wiping my eyes and undid the lock, the door flew open a second later. and in walks Joe his grey sweatpants sitting low on his hips and a white tank top. He must have changed before coming looking for me.

"brookie whats wrong"

"nothing"

"its obviously something you dont run off like that for nothing."

"I could be asking you the same thing"

"what are you talking about"

"whats wrong with you"

"nothing why"

"Joe dont lie to me, we been through hell and back I can tell when your lying at this point"
