Trying to start over

We have been at the same little hotel in Alabama for the last month and today was the day we pay for and get the keys to our first official home together, a small two bedroom cabin deep in the woods of Petrey. The real estate agent said the entire population of the town was less than 100 people and we both knew right then and there this is were we needed to be. The town was so small that the possibilty of anyone figuring out that Im Brooklyn Gravino was slim to none. We woke up in the morning with what felt like a new sense of peace its finally real. The furniture has been bought, the house paid for in case so no bank loan to trace the only thing left is to pick up the keys and move in. Joe had left early this morning leaving me and Duke and went to pick up the Uhaul and make his way to the furniture stores. He didnt want anything delivered for fear someone will know me. Everything was ready and I couldnt be more excited. We got all new Ids everything Brooklyn Gravino now officially died in the car explosion. Police back in New York since closed the investigation on my case, there is now more evidence of Brooklyn Gravino she is gone now turning into Nevaeh Lynn Carter for any purpose outside of the house. Joe McIntyre now was gone Joe was now names Jayden Carter. The backstory we decided on if we were ever asked was Joe was a police officer and I was a nurse and we have been married for five years. Part of me wishes we didnt have to go to this extreme to be together because Joe had left his entire life and everything he knew for me. But at the end of the day Id do it again and Joe says he feels the same.

It was noon when Joe pulled up with the keys to the house and a Uhaul full of stuff this was it were going home. After checking out quick i jumped into the car with Duke to follow Joe in the Uhaul to the cabin, I dont know my way around the town since ive been pretty much laying low at the hotel. It was along drive taking two hours from where the hotel was in in Addison, but finally we were here. I stepped out and looked around at the cutest little cabin surround by trees and a small creek ran through the backyard of the house. It was so quite and peaceful, somewhere 8 months ago I hated but now being here with Joe its seems like absolute heaven. Joe slid from the drivers side of the truck and walked up wrapping his arms around me pulling me close,

I leaned up kissing him softly. The house was truly perfect. This was my first time seeing it since, Joe had to do everything himself since we were still both scared for me to be seen to much in public because at that point my news story was still very much a hot topic.

We spent the next several hours unloading the truck and setting up the house, it was 9 at night when we decided to call it for the night and we work on it in the morning. After Joe made a quick run to Taco Bell for dinner well I dug out the kitchen plates we finally settled in on the couch to our first dinner in our new home. It honestly couldnt be more perfect, it wasnt perfect for any other reason than I was here with Joe and were together and in love.

"Hey baby why dont you go hope into the bath take a hot bubble bath and unwind, when you get out we can put on a dvd and curl up in bed."

I kissed him quick and walked into the bathroom. I had fallen in love with our bathroom it has a huge garden tub that over looked the mountains outside it was beautiful to just sit and look at well you relax. The minute I heard the door close and the water run I quickly ran to the car and grabbed the box that I had stashed in the trunk.
