I felt someone shaking me and sat up. For some reason, I was back at my house in my bed instead of in the Dark World.
"Come on, Kris! Another wonderful day of school awaits~!" Toriel sang. Something about it gave me deja vu.
"I... I guess..."
Toriel walked out of the room and closed the door behind her, leaving me to my thoughts. What had happened? Why was she not upset or even just bothered? And most importantly, what had happened to Susie?
I pushed my thoughts aside and threw on a sweater. I tried to ignore the horrifying sinking feeling I had and headed downstairs for breakfast. When I entered the kitchen, I saw a platter of french toast waiting for me. Again, I had a strange sense of deja vu.
"Eat quickly so we can get to school, Kris. I don't want you to be late on your first day!"
