Kris

I ran towards the classroom, and ended up running straight into Miss Alphys.

"S-sorry Miss Alphys, I was just trying to get into the-"

"Who are you? You aren't one of my students. You have no business in my classroom. Move your ass along, kid," she spat. This took me aback.

Oh, duh! It's the first day of school, and it seems like this is my first year here, wherever here is.

"R-right, sorry, I'm Kris Dreemurr, I'm new this year."

"Hrm.... Fine. Go get in there, and don't touch my chalk." I nodded and pushed past her. I say down at my desk and began to think.

Okay. Just go over what happened yesterday.

I began to go through the day in my head, but certain parts were fuzzy, almost as if they didn't want to be remembered. Then, it just cut off.

What? Why can't I remember what happened after that?! I'm sure there was more...

I tried a few more times to remember, but all I came out with was a splitting headache. Soon, students started filing into the room. Susie sat in front of my, and Catti - who was now wearing pastel yellow and bows - sat beside her. Noelle slammed her fist on Catti's desk, and Catti yelped. She immediately stood up and ran to a different seat. Noelle smirked and say beside Susie. Susie looked down at her desk.

"Alright class! We have a new student today, but I'm too goddamn lazy to introduce them," Miss Alphys said. Everyone snapped their attention to her. "Now. Today you'll be learning about how pencils are made because I'm purposefully making this class as boring as possible-" She stopped talking and slowly turned to face us. "Who. Took. My. Chalk."

Nobody responded.

"Fine. You," she spat, pointing at Susie. "Go get some more, and bring the kid behind you who I didn't care enough to learn their name."

"What!? But Miss Alphys-"

"Sit your ass down, Noelle. Just because your mother is the mayor does not mean you can disrespect me. Shut your mouth." She turned back to Susie and I. "Go get me some more chalk from the supply closet. And I'll know if you skip."

"Y-yes M-Miss Alphys," Susie said. She started to the classroom door. I followed behind her.

We walked awkwardly through the hallway, side by side. We no the avoided each other's gaze. Suddenly, she stopped walking.

"Look, I need to know if we've met before."

"What?" I asked.

"I don't know why, but I feel like I should remember you. I don't think I've ever seen you before in my life, but I feel like I know you, or at least I should," she said. I didn't know how to respond. "You know what, never mind. It's stupid. Probably just deja vu."

"N-no, it's not stupid. I think I understand what you're saying. I remember something about you too, but a different you. It's... Complicated," I said. She seemed extremely shocked at that.

"It's so weird, I just have this overwhelming urge to trust you, even though I've literally just met you. It's... Almost scary, to be completely honest. It's almost like everything I know is being turned on its head."

"I know how you feel," I said sourly.

"Look, can we talk about this after school? We should really get that chalk. Miss Alphys doesn't react well to not getting things immediately," Susie asked.

"Yeah, sure."

"Just... Don't tell Noelle about us talking. Ever."

"Huh? Yeah, sure."

We continued to the supply closet. Susie reached out to grab the doorknob. That's when I remembered the Dark World.

"Wait, don't touch that!" I said rather loudly and without thinking. Susie looked at me quizically.

"What's the problem? I've been in this closet a million times." She swung the door open without hesitation and revealed a normal closet.

"Oh... Wait, what?"

Where was the Dark World?!

Look who finally did their one job at being an author?

Sorry this chapter took so long, writer's block, you know. But hey, at least this time I didn't write up a crappy ending and pretend the story was over!
