Dakota Lewis is an up and coming singer who dreams of selling out arenas. Her best friend Ashton Irwin offers her the deal of a life time : open for them on tour. Spending months with someone on a tour bus will surely affect a friendship.

I sit outside Ashton's door , I'm too scared to knock. What could be so important that he couldn't just tell me over the phone. I take a deep breath in and knock on the door , i hear footsteps and a few seconds later i look up at the beautiful man in front of me. Stop it Dakota he's your best friend.
" i don't see why you knocked? You could've just came in ya know " he says with a shake of his head. I let out a small laugh as i step inside. " i know , I'm just nervous " i say , following him into the living room.
" there's nothing to be nervous about , Dakota. It's nothing bad i promise " he says , sitting across from me.
" well? Out with it Irwin , don't keep me waiting " i say , bouncing a little on the couch.
" well i talked to the guys , and then today we talked to our manager. I showed everyone your new song " he starts , looking at my face for my reaction
" okay... " i respond. I'm so confused , he invited me over to say he shared my song with people?
" and , well i was wondering how you'd feel about joining us on tour. Not as a friend , but as our opening act. " he has a huge smile on his face as he says this.
My jaw drops. Me? Singing in front of thousands of people every night? Sure they're really there to see the boys perform , but at least they'd hear my songs , maybe I'd gain a few fans. Wow i sound crazy.
" Ashton , that's a huge offer. Are you sure you want that? " i ask him , i stand up and start pacing. " i only have a couple songs , what would i even sing to fill all that time " i start wondering aloud.
" yes of course i want that. You're so talented , you deserve to be on stage. And I'll help you write some songs. I'm sure we can whip a couple together by the first show. " he says , walking over and placing his hands on my shoulders holding me still.
I open and close my mouth , trying to think of what to say. Going on tour , singing MY songs every night , traveling the world. Ashton Irwin just offered me the deal of a life time.
I take a deep breath and look into his hazel eyes , " of course I'll do it Ashton! " i yell excitedly , jumping into his arms for a hug. He lifts me in the air and spins in a circle. He puts me down but keeps his arms wrapped around me.
" In a few short weeks the world will know the name Dakota Lewis " he says with an excited smile on his face.
I bite my lip and nod. I hope i don't fuck this up.
