Chapter 5

(Taemin)

We all were punching, kicking dummies while Charisma was looking at all of us fight. I kept kicking and punching hard seeing the red marks on my skin form as I hit the rough material. Going for another punch I was interrupted by Charisma who was right behind me.

“You don’t have much muscle,” he starts, wow thanks what every boy wants to hear. “But that means you’re better off using your elbows and knees. You can put more power behind them.” Suddenly I felt him place his hand on his stomach and I tensed up, his long smooth fingers touching me I couldn’t imagine anything else so nice.

“Keep the tension here alright,” he finishes and walks away and I felt alone suddenly. His hand on my stomach not there didn’t feel right and not having anything there just made me feel weird… Taemin you’re going crazy stop this.

It was dinner and everyone was almost finishing up. I finished my last piece of steak and stood up ready to walk away when I heard Kai mutter something that caught my interest.

“I am going to get a tattoo,” he states walking towards an area where I guess tattoos are I don’t know. I followed and there I see a room with pictures of tattoos to choose from and I was memorised. I looked to all the tattoos and one caught my eyes. I walked to the reception and the lady looked up to me.

“I would like a tattoo,” I stated and she nods walking to an empty seat. I follow behind and sit on the chair next to her.

“What would you like honey?” she wondered preparing the equipment.

“I want the three birds on my upper chest. It’s to represent family of sort,” I smiled and she nods doing her job. After she had finished I stood up and breathed in and out clearly not used to the pain just went through. She threw my top to me and I nod my head thanking her and placed it on. I walked out and to the rooms where I saw Kai there talking to Tao and Key. I sat on the bed next to them and Tao and Key became excited seeing me.

“I heard you got a tattoo. Can I see!” Tao asked excitedly. I nod and took my shirt off showing it off. The three gawked at it. “Wow pretty.”

“What a pansy,” Kai slums leading Key to hit him across the arm. “Ow!” Key takes my arm and takes me to the bathroom. I am clearly confused.

“Why are we?” I started but was interrupted.

“I am going to do a makeover for you, you will look good!”

“What I don’t want make up or anything I am perfect just the way I am.”

“Yes but you would look even better. Sit down now,” Key ordered and I sigh but sat on the chair. Key comes in front of me and takes out eyeliner. “Now be patient and you will the both of us a favour.” I nod and he applies the eyeliner and all these other make up products I never seen or even heard of.

What I think probably 20 minutes later he finishes and smiles happily. “Wow you look dazzling and really hot. Now out of those clothes.”

“Wait what! What is wrong with my clothes?”

“They need an upgrade. Here take these,” Key threw clothes at me and walks out. I sigh but start changing into a muscle shirt not knowing why I’d wear it since I have no ‘muscle’ clearly Charisma spoke of today.

I hopped into tight skinny leather dauntless pants and into combat black boots. I looked to the mirror and my eyes widened. I looked hot I mean a different person. Wow Key did a good job, I never would be allowed to do this in Amity but I am somewhat glad I did come here. Walking out the three did a double take.

“Wow friend did you just became porn star or something,” Kai gawked and I smacked him on his shoulder. 

“Shut up Kai,” I tell him off.

(Next day)

Oh great how did I get picked to be with Kris I mean out of 19 candidates it’s him. Does everyone want me to die young!? i was standing around with Tao when Kris appeared next to me, not good.

“You think you will make it through?” he wondered.

“Well I don’t know but I’ll try,” I reply hoping he’ll leave and hoping being nice would work… it didn’t.

“Even if you did change your look you still are a weakling and I hope you remember that,” Kris states and walks to the other side of the room. I am so dead. It was time and I walked onto the soft mat with Kris on the other side. “You don’t have much muscle. But that means you’re better off using your elbows and knees. You can put more power behind them.” I remember what Charisma told me when training and I was ready.

“Start,” Charisma called out and Kris went for a quick but strong punch to my face and I fell to the floor. I grunt but then a blow comes down to my stomach making me gasp for breathe and I quickly rolled out of the way before the next blow came. I stood up trying to stay steady and he went for me again.

This time I dodged his punch and elbowed his face hard and did a round house kick to his face as well. He stumbled backwards a little angrily looking at me. I saw Tao and Key giving me a worried look. Kris went to kick me and he did right in my gut, I fell to the floor hurt and saw Charisma walking out of the door, maybe seeing how useless I was and didn’t want to be here. Another blow went to my face and another to my eye. I screamed.

“ARGHH!” I shouted too hurt to do anything. I felt dizzy and another blow came to my head this time a kick allowing me to see nothing but blur.

“ENOUGH!” I heard someone yell and I felt nothing come for me. My eyelids felt so heavy that I soon blacked out.

(Charisma)

I forcefully held Kris down trying to calm him down. He was struggling but he couldn’t break free.

“Calm down!” I shouted to him and he nods letting everything go. I stood up walked to Tae who was knocked out and hurt badly. I carried him and looked to Junho. “Take over my class will you,” he nods and starts the next fight.

 I carry Tae to his room placing an ice pack to his stomach which was bruised and bandaged his head from the bleeding I could see. I saw his right eye and it was forming a black circle around it. I frowned, was Kris meaning to kill him?

I didn’t know why but I felt something different when I saw Tae… was it pity I felt for him or just something else? I don’t know but I wasn’t going to give up what it was. Rubbing cream onto his eye and placing a cold wet towel on his forehead I left to the class leaving Tae to sleep.
