Chapter 6

(Taemin)

I woke up sore but I still sat up. The used to be tea towel on my forehead fell onto my lap and i felt so sore especially with this new found headache I have right now.

“Taemin! You okay? You gave me such a shock,” Key ran to me hugging me close to him, sweet talk like the mother he acts to be. I pull away tired.

“I’m fine Key I am just sore and have a headache but nothing else. What happen to your fights?” I wondered.

“What do you mean our fights? Your fight is what we are worried about!” Kai sat on the bed rubbing my leg softly. They looked serious but where was Tao?

“Guys where is Tao?” I wondered.

“Well after class Tao kind of went to Kris and he tried to ask what was his problem and hoping to get him to stop. He hasn’t come back yet, I’m actually getting worried myself,” Key looked to the door but it was empty no one coming in or out anytime soon. I tried to stand up but Kai held me to the bed.

“Stay rested okay. We don’t know what might happen anytime soon.”

“But I need to help Ta” I was interrupted.

“No he is a big boy he can take care of himself hyung. Sleep,” Kai demanded and I knew he was serious so I fell asleep not long after.

(Key)

Gosh this kid is all over the place. Where the hell are you Tao!? That Kris guy has some nerve! I hear footsteps come through the door and see Tao there smiling. I ran up to him.

“Where have you been for so long? I was worried about you!” I lectured him.

“Sorry Key but my talk with Kris became a how do I say it… violent. He was really pissed when I told him off and he told me off for being with a pansy and this gang saying I should be with him and his gang but I told him off and that I couldn’t leave my friends. He did get some good hits and I did the same but I soon walked away and here I am,” he explained rubbing his neck.

“Ok but next time be smart about all this,” I begged and he nods sitting down while I fixed his bruises and cuts. Taemin wakes up looking towards Tao and quickly sits up.

“Tao are you ok! What did Kris did to you? You shouldn’t have went off to him!” Taemin cried and Tao chuckled.

“It’s nothing Tae. I did it for my friends and you should stop worrying. I am here and in one piece and you my friend look like something has ran over you,” Tao joked and Taemin laughs softly. “Oh just to let you know after you were knocked out, Junho made an announcement that we are going to the fence to see what dauntless jobs there are,” Tao finishes and walks to the showers. I gave Taemin a soft nudge for him to sleep and walked to the showers with Kai tagging behind me. He needed rest and we needed to get cleaned up I mean my hair!

(Taemin)

I woke up the next morning grunting in pain. I didn’t hear an alarm or anything but the room was empty. Kai walks inside and see me finally awake.

“Everyone is up and soon ready to go. I think you should get changed while I come back with breakfast for you,” he states and walks out of the room. He was right when he told me to get changed I mean the sweat and blood on my clothes were really disgusting. I unzipped my leather shirt and took my pants off placing them in a dirty pile and put on new clean clothes. That’s better. Kai walks inside and hands me an apple and a banana.

“Fruit today?” I wondered.

“They only had that today,” he answers and I nod eating the food in my hands. Walking with difficulty we made it to the cars outside. Tao and Kai carefully placed me inside and placed me softly so I wouldn’t get hurt so easily. The ride wasn’t too long and we hopped out and climbed the fence that surrounded the city.

I looked out ahead and saw the Amity my used to be faction gathering some food. I saw my mother down there and my face became sad. I wonder what she thinks of me now since I left the faction I was born in. And what about Sunny? Will she forgive me? I became curious.

“What do you think is out there? I mean beyond the fence,” I stated curiously.

“Well farms I guess,” Kai shrugged but I shook my head.

“Yes I see that but I meant further than the farms away.”

“Monsters?” Kai laughs and I did the same. We soon were below the fence and saw the gate opened with the amity harvesting the food.

“Here is where you’ll probably be if your 5 or below in ranks at the end. Patrolling beyond the gates,” Charisma announces looking to the unknown.

“What do you think is out there?” I asked him. He looked at me and shrugs.

“I don’t know. Maybe you’ll find out yourself,” he states and walks away.

“What rank were you?” Kris asks Charisma who looks towards him not expecting him to answer but surprisingly he does.

“I was first,” Charisma answers flatly.

“Why do this when you could be the leader of dauntless?” Kris asks again.

“Because I didn’t want to do the job.” We soon were placing resources in trucks for our faction when I heard my name being called out.

“Taemin baby Taemin come here,” I hear a voice call out and I walked towards the back area to see it was Sunny. She sees me and hugs me and I do the same.

“Hey Sunny I missed you so much,” I hugged her tighter.

“Aw I did as well. How you been? Mother misses you heaps but she is fine before you ask me. Have you seen Jinki yet? I haven’t had any contact with him since the ceremony,” she looks down letting me go. I did the same.

“It’s ok I know he is alright and if I do see him I’ll say hi from you,” I smiled and she does the same.

“Tae what you doing here?” I heard a voice from behind me. There I saw Charisma.

“Um I was just talking for a little bit to my cousin,” I reply to his question. “It wasn’t long.”

“1 second is too long. You have to come now we are leaving,” Charisma orders and I nod waving to Sunny and walking to the car again. I was glad to see Sunny again and happy she didn’t hate me.
