Chapter 23

I couldn’t sleep at all. Too stressed knowing what is going to happen in only a couple of hours. Sitting up I walked outside on the balcony of my apartment and looked at the night sky turning lighter as time comes around. Mrs and Mr Kim I can’t believe what your fate might become, the memories coming over whether I was coming over to play or to eat with them I feel like they are like my second family.

Minho… this is all messed up, I wish that we weren’t all in different factions, I wish there wasn’t any war and I wish that all we could be was known to everyone. A tear fell from my right eye, i don’t know what to do anymore.

The breeze felt cool against my cold skin while on my balcony staring into the moon. I heard about Tae getting into the leader thing from other dauntless leaders roaming around. So he did choose to be one huh. But I have a precaution thinking that it wasn’t what he wanted as well, something bad is going to happen tomorrow and I have to make sure I’m ready for whatever might happen tomorrow.

(Hours later)

I wake up to a sound outside my door. Tensing I stood up and looked outside to see an army full of dauntless people in full armour and had weapons loaded. It looked like they were under control and that they were mindless beings, it must be the serum that was injected into us yesterday. It doesn’t work on me so… this is how they are catching the divergent then. Erudite has over done their intelligence again, damn and I can’t do anything to help any divergent, hope they can read what is happening and to not get themselves killed.

Banging sounds were at my door and I knew they were trying to knock the door down. Minho hurry up and get ready! Running to my armour I placed it on and loaded my weapons and placed them inside pockets and one in my arms. Just when I was ready to be ‘under control’ my eyes travelled to a piece of paper on my table. A song I wrote about Tae and me… I can’t leave it lying around so I grabbed the paper and scrunched it up into my pocket safely. The door slammed onto the ground and I was already acting out my part.

Junho himself came walking inside the room and smirks coming right into my face. His warm breathe too close for comfort but none the less I couldn’t do anything about it. “The almighty Charisma under control by a weak serum, you should of chosen to be a leader when you could of but too late and look where you are right now… a mindless being. Join the rest of the team now,” he ordered lastly and I walked outside of my apartment walking down the stairs and into the line of mindless beings.

“Stop!” with the command from Junho we all stopped. He walked past me and was looking at everyone who was under control. My eyes looked around secretly and landed on Tae himself. He was armed like me but was not under control but that was to be expected for being a leader now. Tae’s eyes were shaking and a little watery watching me but I again was useless not being able to show him I was ok. Then his eyes went to Kai his best friend with a scared expression on his face, confusion flushed all over me.

He must have done something wrong to be acting like this.

My conclusion was correct when I saw Kai look in his direction and gave a secret nod. Is he a divergent as well?! But he couldn’t be I mean I would of seen the signs for it in the second stage, he was like everyone else, oh no Tae must have gotten rid of the serum for his friend instead. He is from Abnegation and we are headed to that faction now I fully understood why Tae did what he did, he wanted his best friend’s parents to stay alive and safe, Tae you are so kind and I love that about you a lot.

Shooting was all everyone could hear as I saw the dauntless army shooting Abnegation people who were running in fear they were even killing children! I walked up to Junho, who was smirking at what was happening, this heartless guy I hate him so much. He blinked and turned towards me still with that smirk on his face. “Tae isn’t this amazing? We will be able to run other factions as well I mean without the political faction others are bound to follow us,” he was speaking with happiness… this guy I wonder how this makes him happy I mean this is the opposite to what he is meant to be acting!

“Junho are you sure this is a good idea I mean we are killing innocent people aren’t we? We are made to defend every faction here so why are we doing this? We’re not doing our job,” he gave me a stern look and chuckles grabbing onto my right hand and dragging me to a location which had no one around. He pushed me onto the concrete building and I hissed a little from the impact, he did it with all his strength.

“Ah Tae you know you have had my interest for some time now. Ever since you stood up to me the many times I saw some fire inside of you and… I like it,” he had this dark expression on his face and he placed his arms on my sides making me shiver, his right hand cupping my left cheek and his breath so close too close for comfort. I tried to push his arms away but I was weak and I knew I didn’t have strength at all in my arms.

“J-unho you’re too close,” I tried to tell him but he just kept still.

“You still don’t get it? I like you I don’t know why I have always been with girls but then you came along and soon inspired me and I couldn’t get you out of my mind. And I don’t like it when someone is in my mind! So were alone and I am not going to back down.

“W-ait st” I couldn’t speak as his lips came in contact with my own. I kept trying to push him off me but he was leaning more onto my body leaving me still and no way to get out. “Mmmm!!!!” I tried to yell but it wasn’t working! Minho help me please! Tears ran down my face scared for my life. I clenched my eyes scared to stare into his intense expression soon to feel him pull away and hearing a thud on the floor.
