Chapter 16

(Tae)

There I see a boy… girl? Boy… I don’t even know. He/she pulls me up and I drag Jongin up onto the bridge. I have seen her/he before what was her/he name?

“Oh Jongin don’t ever do that again,” I pleaded and he nods hugging me tightly. I wrapped my arms around him tightly my tears running down my face, my heartbeat beating at an unhuman rate. I then just realised the person that saved us was still with us. Pulling away I turn around and I still didn’t know who the person was.

“Thank you for saving my friend and I. If you weren’t here then we’d both would be dead right now,” I bowed out of respect and that person chuckles.

“It’s okay I am happy to be of help. My name is Amber I am a dauntless born. Hey we met before? On the train” she wondered curiously.

“Uh yes we have met each other. You know of a dauntless born named Kyungsoo that is the only dauntless born we really know,” Jongin rubs his neck smiling.

“Oh yes Kyungsoo I know those owl eyes anywhere, well we all better go to the dining room as I heard you’d be doing something today but I am not sure what it actually is.” The three of us came walking to the dining room to be dragged away from the two and behind Key and Tao who were glaring at Jongin.

“What do you think you are doing talking and being so close to Tae!?” Key hissed and Jongin whimpers sadly. I ran in front of the two stopping anything that were to happen.

“Stop! I forgive him okay, we just had a talk is all,” I tell them this made Amber snicker.

“A talk? More like falling into the chasm but if you clarify that as a talk then I can’t judge that now,” she joked and the two freak out. Tao face palming and Key pulling his hair totally frustrated. Before any of this could continue I see Charisma walking to the middle of the room.

“Transfers. We’re doing something different today, follow me.” We all start following Charisma to where he was going to take us.

“Good luck,” Amber cheers and we waved goodbye and continued. Hm this part of dauntless is new I never been through here before. The hall to our destination was more up class as it wasn’t dirty and more technical like Erudite or something.

“Yong Guk pick up the pace!” Charisma demands which made Yong Guk growl in annoyance but wincing trying to catch up to us. I could see the bruises and bandages Charisma must have done to save me. Jongin wraps an arm around my shoulder and I do to smiling, this feels like the old times I really miss them. I took a look to see Charisma staring in our direction and snickers looking away from us annoyed… is he jealous? Tae come on he don’t like you he just takes care of you because you are his responsibility… yes that must be it. We arrive at the room to see it all glass surrounding a simulation chair in the middle of the room.

“This is a simulation like you all did for stage two but then again this is different. Stage 3 is required to let us see what your fears are and how you handle it. It will trigger every single fear this time ones that might not have been discovered when you were in stage 2. The fastest time the better result to stay in dauntless,” Charisma explains and we all gulp, I am worried this is going to show that I am a divergent! This says divergent it’s like screaming at you wanting you to be discovered and killed to show others how much of a ‘monster’ I am considered to be.

“Well that is so not fair! What if someone has more fears than the rest?” Kris growls I could see the little fear that was in his eyes.

“Yeah what if someone has like 5 fears while another has 30 that is not fair!” Yong Guk argued with Kris. Charisma’s eyes flashed darkly and walked to the two.

“Do you really want to talk about what’s fair?” he asks the two who paled. “I understand why you are worried Kris, Yong Guk. The events of last night certainly proved that you are miserable coward. So we all know now that you are afraid of a young skinny boy from Amity, you both are disgraceful,” he hisses at the two who were sweating afraid of Charisma’s attitude towards them both. The whole room became silent and were too afraid to even move from their spots.

After all that it was night and Key, Tao, Jongin, Amber, Kyungsoo and I was sitting outside on the grass with lanterns around us so we could see what we were doing. We all came out here for fresh air and to relax as soon we won’t even have a chance to rest at all probably. Amber has made the group more lively which Key got along with and Kyungsoo bringing smiles to us all especially to Jongin.

“The stars look nice I wonder what is up there.” Tao starts talking thinking.

“Maybe people like Junho always so serious and annoying?” Amber joked which we all laughed at. I began thinking about Krystal and thought it was time to get to find out about her.

“Anyone know anything about Krystal?” I questioned them all. Kyungsoo sits up excited to answer.

“She is the leader of Erudite and is supposedly very pretty.”

“Have you met her?” I asked him and he shakes his head.

“I have she is really pretty like Kyungsoo said and we both get along pretty well so to say. Difference between her and I is that I am more macho and she is basically a walking computer, that is why we don’t see each other anymore, she was like a prodigy which is why she is the leader at a young age like herself, she became the leader at age 14 as she surpassed even the leader before that. What shocked me about Krystal was that the leader before was her cousin Jessica and she was even prettier than Krystal in my opinion and in mostly everyone’s as well, which is why she hated her cousin.

She made sure to study so hard to beat her cousin and so she did… but she then kicked her out and Jessica became faction less afterwards. She was so sweet when we were younger but now she is harsh and ruthless not caring to throw people to their deaths. Poor Jessica was not allowed to even see her family as coincidentally they were killed two days later which I knew it was orders from the leader. She is dangerous and should not be messed with,” Amber finishes and we stare at her shocked. “She was here in the in dauntless as you heard because she was told to change factions another chance but I heard she left with a boy didn’t want to be here anymore.” That girl I remember and Kyuhyun as well.

“What a bitch,” Key blankly stated and we all agree. After 10 minutes it was time to go to the bed but I decided not to. “Hey where you going little child?” Key lectures and I sigh.

“I am going to see Charisma for something, he wanted to help me with the simulations,” I answer completely lying.

“Well okay but be careful I don’t want the two stooges minus the third stooges here next to me to come at you like last time.”

“Hey I said I was sorry I wasn’t in my rightful mind,” Jongin whines.

“I got to go, sleep tightly,” I waved to them and ran to the simulations knowing Charisma would be there. Opening the door I see Charisma sitting in the simulation chair and with the serum in his hand.

“W-what are you doing here Tae? You should be in bed,” he was startled and I pout.

“I couldn’t sleep,” I answered shyly. “Were you going to go into your fears?” I questioned and he nods silently. I was going to sit in the corner when I felt a tug on my shirt.

“Join me, I will show you what is lying in my mind,” he spoke and I nod bringing a chair next to him smiling, he wanted me aw he so adorable

Hm... I am wondering if i should have Key paired up with a boy or a girl I am not sure. Maybe you could suggest who he could end up with or something, I know who Tao and Kai are going to end up. I bet you weren't expecting Amber but I added her because she is awesome and Key and her are besties so why not.
