Chapter 15

(Tae)

It was morning and I stare at the ceiling quietly hearing the birds outside chirping away happily. Sighing I turn to my side wincing a little from the pain and stared at Charisma who was sleeping peacefully. The way his chest rises and falls again, the way he snores softly and the way he lays is just so breathe taking especially to experience that live right in front of you, I felt so happy. Happy he saved me and sounding like someone that cared or making me feel like I am strong like him. He groans softly and stretches omg his biceps!

“Morning,” I chirped and he sits up. He stares at me this time and rubs his eyes and places his hair away from his face, love how he does that.

“Morning, are you in pain still?” he asks me getting up from the floor stretching his muscles even more.

“No,” I lied not wanting him to be worried or even worse be a burden to him.

“Really?” he questions walking to me and sits on the bed next to me. I sit up holding back a wince but it failed miserably.

“Well only when I laugh or breathe,” I laughed but then again winced, Tae please stop being embarrassing.

“Nothing you can do about that,” Charisma chuckles now combing my hair properly with his fingers, I leaned in a little but held myself back not wanting him to think I’m weird.

“If I stopped breathing Kris and Yong Guk would probably have a celebration,” I presumed chuckling groaning in pain again.

“Well… I’ll only go if there is cake,” he jokes and he laughs at my expression. He gets up and strips his shirt off (OMG) and puts on a new clean shirt. “I’ll leave first,” he tells me and I nod seeing him walk out of his apartment.

I head out 5 minutes later and start walking towards the dining room, there I see Junho keeping his eyes locked on everyone probably trying to rat the divergent still; also seeing Charisma and my group of friends. I sat next to Key who was sitting opposite from Kyungsoo and next to him is Tao. They all stare at my bruised face and gasp.

“What happened?!” Key exclaims touching my cheek mother like and I hiss a little from the contact.

“Yong Guk, Kris and… Kai,” I finished giving a sad look saying his name.

“Oh my!” Kyungsoo gasps looking at a direction which I glanced to see Kai standing up and leaving the room. “I’m going to go, sorry to hear about that bye,” he leaves running to Kai who was nowhere to be seen now.

“You alright?” Tao wonders drinking lemonade. I glanced at Charisma who gave me this nod. I told them everything that had happened besides telling them that Charisma was the one to save me. “But it isn’t fair, three against one.”

“Yeah because those two are all about fair, which is why they stabbed you,” I barked back and he stays quiet knowing I was right.

“Did you see who saved you?” Key continues and I gave him a ‘sad’ look.

“No I didn’t have a chance to glance when they,” I was interrupted.

“When they tried to kill you?” Tao pushed in.

“Well me dangling from the bridge probably trying to scare me, it worked though,” I looked down again and they stopped talking. This acting vulnerable thing I hope Charisma is right doing this. This moment on I see Kyungsoo running in and giving a worried look to us.

“K-Kai I can’t find him! He looked really scared and worried but I can’t find him anywhere! I am afraid he might do something stupid,” Kyungsoo exclaims pulling at his hair.

“Pft I don’t think he would do something more stupid as what he has done to Tae,” Key blew him off but then my eyes widened. Jongin is the definition of getting into trouble, when we were little he would always get into situations dragging me into it as well and we both ending up in trouble. I remember him saying ‘If the day comes when we become enemies from corruption that is when I will move to the other life. I could never bear to live if I were to hurt you Taemin,’ those words that were spoken is what made me jump up and ran towards the bridge, probably being there.

Running faster I soon end up at the bridge and there I saw Jongin there looking down into the chasm sadly. His eyes were puffy and red probably crying for a long while, I see him sighing chuckling a little though.

“I have failed to protect my friend because of fear and I am ashamed of it. Like I promised I will end myself for doing something so horrible, I am so sorry Taemin, s-s-o s-sor-r-r-y!” he cried out loud falling forwards into the chasm. With the speed of light I ran and grabbed his right arm before he could fall any more. I felt my arms becoming sore from holding Jongin I mean he isn’t exactly light.

“Jongin don’t do this, please I forgive you just don’t kill yourself I don’t know how I am going to live if you were to leave this world,” I cried trying to pull him up but he was so heavy and I was so weak.

“No let me go Taemin I don’t deserve to be in this world any more than I already am. You remember those words I told you so I am complying with it so let me go,” Jongin had this pained but serious look in his eyes.

“Yes I remember those words clearly Jongin! ‘If the day comes when we become enemies from corruption that is when I will move to the other life. I could never bear to live if I were to hurt you Taemin,’ of course I remember but I don’t want you to do this! Please help me get you up just to make me happy don’t do anything with Kris or Yong Guk… p-lease,” my eyes becoming blurry from the tears wanting to fall. He looks at me sadly but then gave a determined face and nods trying to pull himself up but failed miserably.

Suddenly I felt myself fall forward and I tried to keep my own body on the bridge but I couldn’t hold on anymore and fell forwards, but before I did arms wrapped themselves around my waist. I blinked and looked behind me to see….
