Chapter 47 - New things

We had this, or so I thought.

It came to try outs and I got changed into the uniform for try outs since I knew more people would be there and there was scars I couldn't be bothered explaining and the football team would be there, I couldn't deal with the testosterone already never mind it hitting the roof at half naked girl moving her body around.

Me and Toni walked in laughing at a joke she had just made when I saw the whole football team sat on the chairs and the cheerleaders sat down too with the serpents behind them to support Toni and Jughead looking up from the laptop he had decided to bring with him.

"So vixens, we need new blood and these two think they have what it takes, let's put them to the test shall we?" Cheryl's rather annoying voice called out through the gym. I looked towards and saw her nerves.

"YOU GUYS HAVE GOT THIS!" Fangs yelled form the top of the bleachers making me burst out laughing and Toni to smile at his sudden school spirt and the fact that a serpent was getting into something so school like, Sweetpea grabbed him and yanked him down which made me laugh even harder. Jughead sent me a reassuring smile and I nodded, Cheryl started the music and Toni went first.

She did amazing, she moved her body round just like we had practiced and she nailed every move I had taught her to add something extra to the routine, she stopped and stepped back and I knew it was my turn and I saw Sweetpea move forward and suddenly take more interest and Reggie shut his team up. Odd.

I moved my body like we had practiced but in a way that made Toni look better so I knew she'd get in and I wouldn't have to be subjected to this on my own mainly because I had years of experience dancing around with people staring and I knew this was new for her. Malachai had put me in for street dance classes and random other stuff as part of my 'training'.

When the music needed, everyone cheered and I hugged Toni

"You were amazing Topaz" I laughed and squeezed her. She smiled and we looked towards Cheryl who was sat on her throne like chair. A tad dramatic if you asked me but whatever.

"Toni, you were great. Lorna I'm sure you've got more fire than that, what happened? Your clearly holding back and I won't have that. I need girls with FIRE on my team who are willing to put everything they've got into this" Cheryl said and I watched Toni's face drop and Betty's hit the ground and I didn't really care but I could tell everyone else did so I did the unthinkable for me.

"Good thing I'm not done then isn't it?" I said as I grabbed my phone, I flicked through my playlist and looked for something that I knew I could dance well too, I found a song that I knew I could dance too since it had beat drops and intense bits which was something I was good at. Looks like my lessons will be coming in handy in the end.

I put my phone into the speaker and the song BLOOD //WATER came on and smirked and pulled my hair into a pony tail and I looked at Toni's worried face, she wanted us both to do this so we will both do this. I started dancing in a PG13 way since I knew I wasn't on a pole and I knew they didn't need to see that, when the beat dropped I would bring out my gymnastic abilities and do double handsprings and round offs, I watched as Toni's mouth hit the ground and I felt my smile tug up and I finished the dance with my back Arched, knees on the ground and hair backwards as it had fallen out half way through.

I heard screaming and looked up to see Fangs screaming and clapping with a very entertained Sweetpea next to him who was always clapping, I got up and I was tackled back down by Toni.

"What the hell! That was amazing. You held back on me?" She said as she slapped my arm and I laughed at her, god this girl was something else.

"Not too bad for a serpent" I heard Reggie yell with his Bulldogs laughing behind him and I raised my eyebrow.

"Yeah I remember you Saying that when I beat your ass in that fight" I said as I walked to get my phone with a smile on my face as I could feel him glaring at me like he was gonna burn holes in my back or something.

"That was amazing!, your in!" Cheryl squealed and I was a bit taken back as she seemed so excited. Oh my god what have I done. "Your going to bring some much need fun to my vixens and it's gonna to make us even better!" She smiled as she went to go and get the uniforms from wherever she had put them. I was a river vixen I never thought I'd see the day I was doing a group activity.

Sweetpea and Fangs came towards me and Toni as Jughead went to Betty. Fangs still had the biggest smile on his face, jeez this kid was so easily happy.

"You were amazing! God is there anything you can't do?" He said as he looked at me and the shook my head, I knew it was a joke but I answered anyway.

"Math" I joked bald at him and he broke out into fits of laughter, god this kid was easy that wasn't even that funny.

"You were great doll, I'm sure FP would have loved to see you do that and wipe the smug look of almost everyone's face" Sweetpea said with a laugh, wow he laughs, I felt the butterflies go into my stomach again and I smiled smiled back. Cheryl came and gave me and Toni our uniforms and I smiled and began to walk out of school to my bike, I have everything in my bag.

I guess today wasn't that bad, life was looking good for once. But of course, every good thing must come to an end and while I was happy with my life now. Something was around the corner which would send it upside down.
