Sam's POV
"Agh!" I screamed, snapping back into reality. I looked up and saw the whole class staring back at me. They gave me confused looks as I felt my face getting hotter from the embarrassment.

"Umm... here?"

Ms. Okami just sighed and continued on with the list. Taurtis turned and faced me, cocking his head at me. "Yo dude, are you alright?"

Grian turned around, giving me a worried look. "Yeah, Okami was calling your name for like a full on minute," he said. "And you was just," Grian said snapping his fingers right after. "Gone."

"Yea we was about to call Invader over here to wake you up," Ellen said who then earned a glare by Yuki.

"I'm fine guys really..." I said and then a I felt two arms wrap around my shoulder. I looked up and saw Yuki, flashing me one of her cheeky grins. "Of course Sam is fine! Why wouldn't he be?

"Well Sam, we're here for you if you need us, alright?" Ellen said and I replied with a nod. Okami was finally done with attendance and thus the first day had finally began.

-TIME SKIP-

As Okami wrapped up her lesson, the bell rang signaling us it was time for lunch. I got up and grabbed my stuff and waited at the door for Taurtis and Grian. Yuki grabbed onto my hand, clinging onto me like a lost puppy. I gave her a smile and then soon enough Taurtis, Chan, Grian, and Ellen was ready and we were off to lunch.

The cafeteria was busy as normal with Pete harassing Pepe in his cage and Dom up with his shenanigans. Jts, J, and Hidden were chatting up about something and the other girls were doing what they usually do. Not that I knew much about their lives. I was happily munching on a carrot, talking with Grian and Ellen while Taurtis was eating his Tauritos, trying not to choke on the package.

Chan rolled her eyes. "Taurtis, it's been like a year and you're still trying to sell these." She said as she rubbed and patted on the back, helping him with his coughs.

"I'm not giving up yet," he said with a cheeky smile. "Tauritos will become be talk of the town and I'll become a millionaire."

"As if," Grian said, putting down his sandwich. "You're going to get into shit with Dom's dad again and boom! We're going to loose to the apartment."

"Whatever man, he said after chugging his Mountain Dew. "You won't be hating on me when I'm rich and famous."

I laughed at my friends bickering back and forth. This year might actually go good this year even though last year was hell for us. So far everything been okay, well besides those weird dreams I've been having. I mean they're just dreams...

Right?

"Sammmmmmmm!" I shot my head up to the direction of the voice calling my name. Oh no...

Invader skips to our table and gives me a big hug, her beard rubbing against my cheek. "I wished you replied to my texts this summer. I missed you soo much!"

She let go and grabbed my hand, tightly squeezing it with her strong grip. I think I heard some bones snap. Hehe...

"Invader..." I said while rolling my eyes but was interrupted by her.

She gasp and then grabbed my bicep, also using her man strength. "Sammy! You gotten really strong over the summer, haven't you?"

"Invader...Please. How many times do I ha-" I started but was interrupted again by Yuki who had a knife up against her neck and was wearing an evil grin.

"I'll give you a few more seconds bitch." She said as she pressed the knife closer to her neck. "Leave my mans alone."

Invader rolled her eyes and put her hands up on defeat. "Whatever, bye hon," She said as she blew me a kiss and walked away to her group of friends.

"Yuki..." I said giving a her a worried and terrified looked. "Thank you but you know how I hate it when you do that."

"I'm sorry Sam but she was fucking pissing me off and I couldn't stand to see her dirty hands touching you." She whined out loud and slumped into the seat next to me.

"Yea but babe I don't want you to get in trouble." I said wrapping my arm around her. "And besides you're the one for me."

"Really??" She said as she looks up at me. Her eyes were bright and filled with happiness. I nodded and grabbed her hand, giving it a small squeeze. She caressed my cheek and slipped her knife back into her skirt.

Soon after the bell rang and it was time for lunch. The gang threw away their trash and walked into the gym, already knowing what hell they were going to be going through.

Gym teacher Rowan is a retired soldier and a member of the SWAT team. He wears these thick black sun glasses and was man of steel, no shit. Punch him and your bones would shatter into a million pieces. He was not the guy you really wanted to mess with.

We lined up in two lines, divided into boys and girls, and Rowan comes out of nowhere through the ceiling. A bunch of rubble from the ceiling covered us and we all started coughing.

"Welcome back Maggots," he said, acting like he didn't just come out of the ceiling. "Now let's get on with the stretches and then you all go change into your gym clothes. Got it?"

We nodded and started on our stretches. Rowan walked back and forth across the isle, giving us cold dead stares. He stopped in front of me and grabbed me by my collar. I felt beads of sweat going down my brow and avoided his gaze.

"Is that all you got maggot!" He said before letting go. "Get down and give me twenty!"

I panicked and got low to the ground, fumbling my hands into my pocket (Srry I just had to) and grabbed my wallet. He looked up and pulled out some cash, slowly handing it to Rowan.

The whole class just laughed while Rowan was fuming with anger. But he just snatched the 20 dollar bill and put it in his pocket. "Maggots just go get dress and then head outside into the field."

Grian face palmed himself while Taurtis was laughing his ass off at Sam's embarrassing moment. Sam chuckled and felt his face get red. He then got up and ran to catch up with them, who was already heading inside of the locker room. They quickly got dress and headed to the field, seeing the same obstacle course from last year on the field.

"Maggots! Today you'll running 3 laps and then doing the course while dodging Ms. Okami who will be shooting paintballs at you all." Rowan said.

The whole class groans in agony except Jts, who knows he could do this in his sleep. Okami was sitting on a post with a paintball gun in her hand, waving at the class and giving them a cheerful smile.

"Now don't just stand there Maggots! Get on with it!"

Everyone scrambled around and started their laps. The gang was kind of in the back, laughing at Taurtis' jokes. Everything was going good until Sam suddenly stopped, catching a pounding headache. He clutched his head and kneeled down into the grass.

"H-Hey guys..." Sam said. "I don't fe-"

He looked up, falling back into the ground in shock. The atmosphere was dark and dead bodies were lying everywhere in the grass. He couldn't move at all.

The shadow was back and he walked up to Sam with that same devilish smirk and wrapped his hands around Sams neck.

"You know Sam..."

"You're going to cause all of this shit."

This is kind of short 😖 srry...

I legit forgot about this book and got carried away with school and stuff.

But I'm here with a new chapter and I'm gonna try to update consistently now!
