The final chapter of this story! Short yeah but I ain't planning on continuing this. Made it for my best friend anyways. :P

“Another riddle?” Kaden frowned. “This isn’t funny, Constantine.”
“Take it or leave it,” he shrugged, only to wince in pain. “You know what, I’m going now. Bye!”
This time, he walked away slowly, careful of the gunshot wound. Caila watched with guilt. Wasn’t there something she could at least do to help him? It wasn’t exactly fair for him. He had no one.
“Constantine!”
His name slipped her tongue before she even registered it. The rogue wolf turned around, the calm façade now playing again.
“Do you want to…follow us home? I mean… we could help treat your wound. It must really hurt, right?” Caila rambled, refusing to look at the expressions of disbelief on the faces of her friends.
Constantine gave her a lopsided grin and tilted his head so that shadows covered his eyes. “Are you sure? I am just a sick, narcissistic masochist.”
She flinched at his sarcastic tone. “I’m sorry for calling you that but you know it’s true. I just wanted to help you… I didn’t find it fair that you’re all hurt and there’s no one that you have. Isn’t it like…lonely?”
“How do you know that someone’s not waiting for me? Are you stalking me?” he arched a brow at her and his grin returned when her cheeks flushed red.
“What! No, of course not! I was just worried.”
“Aww, little miss is worried about me,” he pouted his lips. Just as she wanted to open her mouth, he continued. “But it’s fine. I don’t want to trouble you. I’ll be fine.”
“You sure?”
“Sure.”
Caila bit her bottom lip and craned her neck to look at Hale who was busy prodding at her wound. Kaden was already deep in thought, his mind reeling for the riddle’s answer…again. She returned her attention at Constantine but he was gone. He was nowhere in sight. She checked her surroundings before concluding he did run away.
He observed her, his amber eyes twinkling in delight. That was really a first for him. No one ever extended a hand towards him before and he felt a warm feeling bubbling inside. He was grateful for the thick leaves of the tree that kept him concealed as she searched the area. As much as he wanted to follow, a rogue will be a rogue. He will forever be one no matter what anyone said.
‘It will be fine,’ he thought. ‘I guess, this time onwards, I’ll stop terrorizing your pack, Caila.’
He whispered a small word of gratitude to the wind before disappearing into the darkness of the shadows when the three wolves left. He knew the wind would pass on his message when the wind returns, along with her wolf, to her. It wouldn’t be long for them to find out the answer…he hoped.
‘Thank you.’

Caila wanted to so badly vent out her frustrations.
They were all at long last, having a break and it was dinner. Hale was seated directly opposite of her at the dining table with Kaden on her right and on his right, sitting at the head of the table, was Andrew. The other pack members sat on the remaining seats as everyone waited for the food to arrive. The mouthwatering aroma had been roaming the room for a long time but the food remained confined in the kitchen since, quote from the cooks, ‘They’re not ready! They must be per-fect!’
