PROLOGUE
Voices. I could hear them whispering even in my unconscious state. I badly wanted to open my eyes but I couldn't. Pakiramdam ko ay nawala ang lahat ng enerhiya sa katawan ko, maging ang pagmulat ng mga mata ko ay hindi ko magawa. Ano ang nangyari sa akin? Bakit wala akong malay? At bakit wala akong maalala?
"Sigurado ka ba sa gagawin mong 'to?" rinig kong tanong ng lalaki. I couldn't distinguish whose voice it belonged to. And I was pretty sure na hindi ko kilala ang nag-uusap sa paligid ko.
"Relax. Para rin naman sa kanya ang ginagawa kong 'to." sagot ng babae. Were they talking about me? Ano naman ang gagawin nila sa akin?
"What if malaman ng Big Boss 'to? Patay ka pag nagkataon!"
"Baka nakakalimutan mo, may karapatan akong gawin 'to. Hindi ako malalagot. Alam ng Big Boss ang ginagawa ko. He gave me the power to do this. Trust me, okay?" What were they talking about? And who was the Big Boss they were pertaining to? Pinilit ko ang sarili kong i-mulat ang mga mata ko, pero hindi ko talaga kaya.
"She's-"
"Hush! When she wakes up, she will no longer remember any of this." saway ng babae sa lalaking kausap niya. And that was the last thing that I heard before I finally fell into deep slumber.
