CHAPTER THIRTY ONE

"How rude of you to throw a party without inviting us" Xiaojun chuckled darkly as a grin appeared on his face, as well as the other two at his side

"What are you doing here? Do the three of you purposely want to die?" Taeyong said as he appeared at Ten's side

"Maybe? Anyways, hello cousin, and uncle" Xiaojun said as the three of them bowed at Ten

"Lets skip the formalities, What are you three doing here? Especially with what's going on between both covens" Ten said as he glared at his cousins, they all look at each other and once again shrugged

"We were bored and our father sent us to give you and your lovely mate a welcoming gift" YangYang answered this time with a grin on his face and he winked at Haneul, who just felt oddly intimidated by them and their strong aura

"Ten, I have a bad feeling about this" Haneul whispered to Ten as he nodded in agreement and grabbed her arm, putting her even more behind him in order to shield her if something were to happen

"Get the coven member's out now" Akara ordered one of the guards

"Wait, I'd hate for them to miss our surprise" Hendery said as he flicked his pointer finger and the doors to the ballroom closed shut and some member's tried opening it but it was impossible to open

"Get over with it, you three aren't welcomed here and I don't think your father would like to loose all three of his sons in one night" Taeyong threatened as he stepped closer to the three, Ten putting a hand over his chest, stopping Taeyong from coming closer to them

The three nodded, Xiaojun putting a hand over the the floor and spoke in tongues, the outer perimeter of the dance floor catching on fire, and once it died down, multiple bodies appeared on the ground.

"Are these our soldiers?" Ten said lowly as he recognizing the uniforms that the bodies were wearing

"Yes, they didn't even make it to the border of our coven grounds, where they were sent to attack" Hendery said as Ten turned to look at his father, as many of the coven members were all shocked to hear this, many of them thinking that the tension's between both coven's had died down

"Is this true? You sent our soldiers to attack my uncle's coven?" Ten yelled as his father still kept his stoic face and nodded

"That's why he wanted you here so badly, a war is about to break out and he wants to make sure he has his key weapon with him" Xiaojun said as he walked closer to Ten, looking at him up and down, and then shaking his head in disappointment

"Take this as our welcoming gift, our dear cousin. We'll welcome you into a new world where the Lee coven will be no more but just a horrid and bleak memory" Xiaojun said as their faces inches away

"Keep that beautiful mate of yours very close, wouldn't want someone to snatch her up" Xiaojun whispered into Ten's ear, chuckling lowly as He turned to look at Haneul, his smirk grew and all three of them bowed, Hendery snapping his fingers and they disappeared in an instance

"What were you thinking?! Was this party just a distraction so that you could attack my uncle's coven?!" Ten yelled at his father as both of them were in his office after the party had ended

"Your uncle is plotting against me, what was I suppose to do? Not do anything and let this coven be ruined?!" His father exclaimed as he stood up from his desk, slamming his fist into it

"Someone like you with experience in being a leader will be smart enough to know that the best way to work tension's between covens is to talk it out, and if that doesn't work out than that's when you attack but you seemed to want a full on war right off the bat" Ten said as he narrowed his eyes at his father

"Is this why you wanted me to come back so badly? Because you expect me to win this battle for you?" Ten said as his father chuckled darkly, and he only looked at his son with grin on his face

"You're my successor, my son and all the training that I gave you all these years has led up to this point, this isn't just a simple scuffle, it's a war between species, and this isn't something that i can win alone" His father said as Ten scoffed and shook his head disappointingly

"If you think you could use me as some sort of weapon to secure your place at the top, than you're wrong, if you started this war yourself, than finish it yourself" Ten said as he stood up and was ready to walk out the door

"If we loose this war, They'll come for Haneul, for all of us" His father said and Ten halted, turning to look at his father

"You know they will, they'll purge the world of anyone associated to the Lee coven that includes your mate, especially when they found out-" His father said

"Find out about what?"

"That she's carrying your child"

Lol, I've planning on having a pregnancy happen further into the book once I started writing it, as it adds more into the plot and will help it in the long run, making many things that will happen further into the story make sense.

Don't be mad, I PROMISE THIS ISNT GOING TO BE CRAZY! Or that the plot will go to shit.
