Ten woke up in a hospital room, a steady beep from the heart monitor was what woke him up, and the soft heat of a hand holding his hand made his eyes widen.
He looked to see that Haneul was sitting at his side holding his hand while she slept, her head laying on his lap.
He felt an overwhelming feeling come over him, a sense of relief washed over him as he seen that his mate was alright after all.
He lost himself in those few months being held captive by his father, stuck in his own consciousness for awhile and losing all control of his body.
He wanted to cry, he wanted to just breakdown, he thought he'd let her down, he couldn't take the torture anymore and let go, and for that Ten thought he let her down.
His soft sobs woke up Haneul as she lifted her head up and seen that Ten was crying, and silently pulled him into a hug.
"I'm so sorry for everything, I'm sorry for not fighting hard enough" Ten sobbed into her shoulder, as she held him even closer
"You don't have to be sorry, you did what you could do, and that it is enough for me, don't beat yourself up for something you had no choice in" Haneul said as she pulled away and cupped his face gently
"I just want to look at you right now, I can't believe you're alive and with me now" Haneul said softly smiling, wiping his tears away and kissing him
She started to cry as well and hugged him again, wanting to feel his warmth that she hadn't been able to feel for the longest, the same warmth that would comfort her in the hardest times.
"I missed you so much" Ten said as he kissed the top of her head and she looked up at him, and smiled
"I did too"
Ten spent 3 days in Huang's hospital, in those 3 days Hendery helped Ten take control of his demon again since it was still a little confused from being in Akara's control for so long.
Today, Daniel and Haseul were gonna bring back Seonghwa, and Ten was more than excited.
Haneul and him walked hand in hand inside the house, seeing Both YangYang and the recovering Xiaojun sitting in the living room.
"How are you holding up?" Ten said as the couple walk towards them, sitting on the couch across from them
"The healing is going slower than I'd expect but I'm getting there, nothing a spell can't fix" Xiaojun said grinning as Taeyong and Winwin walked down the stairs
