It wasn't a normal day that day, and I knew that. I knew today was going to be different, even with how the wind blew that day, and how lively the atmosphere was, there was still a constant anxious feeling in me.
It was suppose to be a happy day today, where everyone would come together and celebrate my pregnancy, since all the tension between Ten and his Uncle's coven had, this was a great distraction from everything that was happening.
I remember that I wore a dress that Sorn had given to me, it was pink and I had worn flats, that would soon leave my feet by the end of the night.
His father had thrown this unexpectedly, maybe it was his way of making me feel happy, just to break me down, maybe he hated me that much.
I was dumb to let my guard down, to let myself enjoy this moment, to let this be the last goodbye.
He wanted it that way, this celebration wasn't because of the new beginning that was gonna start when I gave birth, it was his alternative ending.
"My feet are killing me" I groan as I sat down at the main table, which was decorated with many colors as nobody knew the gender of my baby yet
"This will all end soon, and after giving birth to my great nephew, you'll forget all of this happened" Sorn's mother, Arinya said as Sorn had nudged her mother
"Mom, we don't even know the gender yet" Sorn said as Arinya had shrugged her shoulders
"I just have a feeling, a mother's intuition is always right" Arinya said as she jokingly winked at me, I chuckled and nodded
"Do you want anymore blood?" Ten said as he sat down next to me, pointing at my empty water bottle which I usually now take with me everywhere, since I could die if I'm not drink blood regularly
"I'm alright, if i drink any more, I'll for sure pop this baby out" I joked as he chuckled putting his arm around my shoulder and I laid my head on his shoulder
"I can't wait till he gets here" Ten said as he rubbed my overly sized stomach
"It seems like everyone thinks I'm going to have a boy" I chuckled as he smiled and nodded
"Hopefully, he's as beautiful as his mother" Ten said as he kissed my temple, my cheeks turning red as I smile widely
"Oh! I almost forgot" Ten said as he reached into us pocket and pulled out a tiny box, as my eyes widen and I raise an eyebrow at him
"No it's not an engagement ring, this is just an early birthday gift" Ten said as I cock my head to the side in confusion
"My birthday? Oh shit" I said in realization as I soon remember my birthday was in a couple of days
"It was my mother's and I thought that instead of it collecting dust, maybe i should give it to you, it was always gonna be yours anyways" Ten said as he put the ring on my finger, it fitting perfectly
I felt happy, and I just stared at the ring, smiling up at Ten, who looked content with himself.
"Thank you, it's beautiful" I said pecking his lips as he smiled
"I love you, Haneul" Ten said as he hugged me tight, letting go of me with a smile still on his face but I can see a hint of sadness in his eyes, as if this was the last time
"Haneul, come here, you need to open the presents" Haseul called me over before I could ask Ten what was wrong, or even say I love you too
"O-okay" I said as I look at Ten, who must've sensed my worry and just gave me a reassuring look
