Ten hit the floor as the same 3 guards beat him, the same way they have been doing for the past month since Haneul was sent to his uncles coven.
He was tortured and beaten everyday, and the only Thing that kept him sane was the thought of Haneul and his child, if they were still alive.
To him, the world outside this underground cell that he'd been locked in was undefinable to him at this point.
Not only was he tortured physically but mentally aswell.
The guards and his own father telling him that Haneul was dead and that all his friends were dead as well, taunting him everyday and every hour, calling him weak and useless for not being capable of protecting anyone.
They beat him mercilessly until his heart would stop, knowing Ten would immediately heal and come back, and sometimes Ten wished he hadn't woken up.
He could've said that he would get through this and come back to his family, not fall into his father's vile games at the beginning, but right now he wasn't sure.
He knew what his father wanted and Ten would rather die trying to get out, than to give into his father's commands, but at this point he knew the certainty of what was about to happen to him.
"You're just as useless as your mother, but at least you could actually take a beating unlike her" the guards said kicking Ten one last time in the stomach
"I bet your mate is much more durable than you, should we go and test our theory out?" One of the other guards said as Ten coughed up blood, struggling to get up to his feet but ultimately falling back down on the floor
"Test it out and I'll have your head on a wooden pike" He threatened lowly as the guard only chuckled lowly at him, grabbing a fistful of Ten's hair and making Ten look up at him
"You won't live to see tommorow if you threaten me again"
"And you won't live to see the next hour"

"This isn't going to work, I've tried for hours and nothing is happening" Haneul said as she stood up from setting on the ground
For the past month, Haneul had been training with Taeyong and Hendery in order to help her get her powers, which was the only condition Huang wanted her to succeed in before considering in actually putting her in battle.
This entire time Huang had been trying to figure out what's been happening in Akara's coven, but it seemed like the entire coven land was deserted, as it was confirmed by Jaemin, (who's parents stayed behind and have been keeping in contact with him) that many of the coven member's have been sent away to neutral territory.
This being a relief to Taeyong and Yuta, who worried about the rest of the guys.
"You have to try harder" Taeyong said as Haneul groaned and shook her head
