I watched as my parents thanked and hugged Harry for helping. Watching him, the way he moves, stands, walks, and talks, my mind began to drift to other things... I had to figure out what happened between Noah and Harry. Why was it that both of them wanted me to stay away from the other? Why don't they trust each other. My train of thought crashed as I felt two strong arms wrap around me.

"Thank you, Harry." I said whispered into his neck.

"I enjoyed it." Harry said, breaking away from the hug.

My mother and father guided him out the door as I followed behind.

"Would you like to say your goodbyes alone?" My mother asked.

"Please" Harry said, smiled, and walked out the front door, asking me to follow.

"Yes.?" I asked, wondering why Harry needed me.

"I never officially asked you." Harry blushed.

"Asked me...what?" Oh god.

"Will you be my girlfriend, Spencer?" That was when a billion thoughts ran through my mind at once. What would Noah say? I don't even know Harry? What if I fall too hard and it doesn't work out?

"Umm..." I said to occupy the space between words.

"I'm sorry, but no. At least not right now. I'm not ready for this." I said. I was actually telling the truth, too. I really wasn't ready for a boyfriend.

"Okay. I understand." Harry sighed. "Just let me know when you're ready."

"I will." This was a lie.

Harry came in for one last hug before walking across the street to his parked car. I walked back inside through the front door, greeted by questioning glares from my parents.

"What was that about?" My father asked.

"English homework." I lied.

"Oh..Well I really like Harry." My mother joined in.

"Yep. Well I have an essay to write." I said, attempting to end the conversation as quickly as possible.

I ran up the stairs to my bedroom. I immediately flopped down on the bed, lost in thought.

I found my phone, which was lost between the sheets, and began to dial Noah's number. Mid-dial I stopped, wondering what I was going to say. "Wait," I told myself, "you'll see him tomorrow."

I showered and dried my hair. I turned off the lights and fell into sleep between the sheets.

...

I woke up to the sound of my ringing alarm. I checked my phone, like I do every morning. A text from Harry.

"Meet me at the front again?" It read.

I had to talk to Noah about this and I knew that I couldn't do it with Harry around.

"Can't today, I'll be a little late..sorry." I replied.

"Late?" Harry questioned.

"Dentist appointment." I lied.

"Okay. See you soon." Harry responded.

As I got dressed I constantly wondered what I would say to Noah. Not what I would say, but how I would say it. I when downstairs and left for school without having breakfast.

It was only 6:54 and it takes me about fifteen minutes to walk to school. As soon as I arrived, I frantically searched the halls for Noah. I found him, walking into the library. I jogged to catch up with him, shouting his name.
