Fighting Liliana

Chapter Fourteen

   "What the hell happened?", I yell. "That guy started messing with Scott and Charlie because they're gay and when Scott said something to him he punched him in the face. "Are you okay Scott?", Parker asks. "Yeah, I just hate people like that.", he says sadly. I start walking over to the guy, but someone grabs my arm. "Liliana, what are you doing?", Nathan asks me.

"Going to ask that asshole why he punched Scott in the face.", I say back. Nathan walks over with me and we approach the guy really calmly. "Hi, can you tell me what happened over there?", I ask him, "Those faggots were kissing in front of me.", he yells in my face. I smell the rum on his breath and my blood starts to boil.

Gigi walks over and puts a hand on my shoulder. "Come on Lil. The cops are on the way.", she says. I start walking away to wait for the cops, but the guy's girlfriend mumbles something under her breath. "Excuse me?", I turn around and say. "I said, walk away bitch", she says and gets in my face. "Oh, boy.", I hear Parker say from behind me. "You should definitely watch the way you talk to me.", I glare back. "Liliana, come on.", Cierra says.

Once again, I start walking away and the girl says something that finally gets me to snap. "Yeah, you better walk away. Go back to your parent's house and tell them about it, little girl." I turn around and punch the girl straight in the face and I feel everyone pulling me off of her. I hear sirens coming towards us and Parker grabs my hand and starts pulling me towards his car, but it was too late.

"Ma'am, put your hands behind your back.", the officer says. "Her boyfriend hit my brother in law, but I'm getting arrested?", I yell. "It would've been different if you were protecting him from the male who hit him, but the woman didn't touch him did she?", the officer asks me. "No", I answer quietly. He puts handcuffs on me and the guy and put us both in the back of two different cop cars. "We're right behind you, Lil", Charlie yells.

I look out the window and I see my friends staring at me, disappointed. I put my head down and I feel guilt wash over my body. "It's going to be okay, kid.", the cop says from the front. I look up and he sends me a reassuring smile through the rearview mirror and I smile back quickly. We pull up to the police station and they put me in a cell with two other ladies.

I've been in here for like four hours when this lady sits next to me. "What do they have you for?", she asks me. I get a good look at her. She has crazy eyes that almost look completely black, messy hair, and a grin of a murderer. "I punched someone in the face. Wanna be next?", I ask. "Johnson!", the officer yells. "Sorry, but she's so close to me.", I apologize.

"Ms. Williams, go back to your corner.", the officer says. "Sir, how long do I have to stay here?", I ask. "The name is Officer Hendricks. You're actually allowed to leave right now. We've checked your record and it's spotless. We'll call your ride and have them pick you up. The young lady outside of the club said she didn't want to press charges since your brother didn't", he says. "I'm sure they're already here waiting for me somewhere", I laugh.

He opens the holding cell and I walk out. "Here's your stuff Liliana. Stay out of trouble. ", Officer Hendricks says. "Yes sir, I will.", I tell him. "Here's your phone, your family is in front of the jail.", he smiles and hands me my phone. "Thank you!", I smile back and run out of the jail. Everyone is talking and facing the other way, so I decide to play a little prank on them. "Get down, you're under arrest!", I yell.

They all drop their stuff and get on the ground. I start laughing and they all get up and give me death glares. "Now that was funny.", I say walking over to them. "Well hello to you too, Lil.", Scott says. "Where's Parker?", I ask noticing that he was missing. "He went to get a milkshake. He should be back soon.", Nathan says.

I see Parker walking over to us and his eyes are red. "Parker!", I yell. He looks up and his eyes light up. He drops his milkshake and runs over to me. "Liliana, you're okay!", he yells and picks me up. I wrap my arms around him and start laughing. "Why were you so worried Parker?", I ask him. "I thought you'd get hurt in there or something.", he said quickly.

"Yeah, right. No one could hurt me.", I say. He pulls out of the hug and rolls his eyes at me. "She's right. She almost got in a fight within like 20 seconds of being in there.", Officer Hendricks says walking out of the jail. We all laugh and talk for a few minutes before we decide to leave. "Let's go, I'm hungry!", Gigi says pushing everyone to their cars.

I hopped in Parker's car, with him and Scott again. Cierra and Charlie are in my car, and Gigi is riding back to my apartment in Nate's car. We all pull up and walk into my apartment. "What time is it?", I ask. "4:30 in the morning.", Cierra says. "You can all stay here if you want. ", I tell them. "Thank you", everyone says. I start walking in my room, but then I turn around and tell all of my friends thank you for being so great.

"I'm super thankful for all of you.", I say. Everyone goes in for our signature group hug and I start laughing. I grab my Pizza and walk into my room, so I can drown in my thoughts once again. "What were you thinking Liliana?", I ask myself. "Don't freak out about it, Lil. What's done is done.", Parker says sitting on my bed. "I keep messing up, my parents would be so disappointed. ", I say feeling ashamed. "Lil stop, you need rest.", he says.

I finish my food and I lay down on my bed, then pass out next to Parker. I look up at him while he's sleeping and I smile. I trace Parker's Muhammed Ali tattoo and lay on his chest. I fall asleep to the sound of Parker's steady breathing. I wake up to the sound of the shower cutting on and I notice that Parker isn't next to me anymore. I get up and walk to the bathroom to brush my teeth, but I stop before opening the door because I hear Parker talking to someone.

I walk away because I don't want to listen to his conversation, but then I hear him say "Mya I'll call you later, I can't talk right now." My blood starts to boil and I walk to my brother and Scott's room, so I can brush my teeth and shower. I knock and hear a "come in", so I storm into their room and they both look at me weirdly. I walk into their bathroom and slam the door. "Umm, hello ma'am. I know I don't live here, but I pay half of the rent. ", I hear Charlie yell.

"Sorry", I say popping my head back out. "What's wrong Lili bear?", Scott asks me. "Parker is on the phone with Mya.", I say angrily. "What? The girl you fought?", Gigi says popping her head in. "Yes.", I reply. "Hmm. I'll go find out why.", she says grinning. "Oh my goodness, I will not be apart of this.", Scott says walking out of the room. Gigi walks to my bedroom and listens through the door with a glass cup. "Seriously Gigi?", I ask laughing. "Shh", she quickly shuts me up.

Parker opens the door and Gigi falls forward. "What the hell are you doing?", he asked us. "Liliana said you were on the phone with Mya and we want to know why." , she sasses. "Did you eavesdrop on my conversation Liliana?", he asks angrily. "No, Parker. I was going to brush my teeth and I heard you say something to her.", I reply back. "Do you not trust me?", he yelled. "Parker, I do.", I say quietly.

"Clearly fucking not.", he says and grabs his stuff. "Where are you going man?", Nathan asks him. "Back to our place, I don't need this shit." , he says brushing past me and walking out the door. "I'll talk to him, Lil.", Nathan says walking out behind Parker. "Well, I made pancakes.", Cierra says quietly. "Thanks", I smile and hug her.
