Fighting Liliana

Chapter Eighteen

I wake up in the morning to a bunch of noise coming from my living room, so I get out of bed to go see that Nate, Parker, and Vinny are playing my Xbox. "What are you guys still doing here?", I ask rubbing my eyes. Nate pauses the game and they all look at me.

"We're training for your fight.", Vinny says. "I didn't know that Mario Kart would help me train.", I sass. "Well, it does smart ass.", he sasses back. "Alrighty. I'm going back to sleep.", I say walking back to my room. "You can't. We have to talk. ", Parker says.

"Okay.", I say sitting down, facing my three coaches. "Liliana, today is serious. You have to stay down if your injuries start getting too bad. No fight is worth you dying", Parker says. I quickly nod my head. "Think about your favorite movie, Lil. In Never Back Down, they use a bunch of crazy fucking moves. You aren't limited to just punching. Roundhouse somebody's ass.", Nate says laughing.

"Yeah, I agree. Bring out that aggression, you did when you beat that girl up yesterday.", Vin laughs. "Wait, what?" Parker and Nate say at the same time. "Oh, yeah. Forgot to tell you guys, that I beat someone up yesterday.", I say laughing with Vin.

"Lil was going to fill up her water bottle, and the girl pushed her out the way, so she could fill her water bottle up first. So, Lil went off on the girl and pushed her back out of the way. When Liliana started filling her bottle up, the girl threw Lil down on the ground by her hair and punched her. Lil got right back up and hit her with a knee to her face. " he says excitedly.

"Hell yeah, Lil", Nate says and Parker smiles at me. "That's my girl", he says. "I think I'm going to look for her tonight.", I say to them. "I don't know Lil, I think you've already done your damage. Pick someone new", Nate says. Before I could respond I heard someone knocking at my door. Parker walks over and looks out the peephole and then looks at us.

"It's Scott and Charlie", he says quietly. He swings the door open and they both walk in. "Lil!", Scott says and runs over to hug me. I hug him back and laugh. "What are you guys doing here?", I ask. "We're here to support you for this weird, illegal MMA thing.", Cierra says walking in.

I start crying and I looked at Parker. "Thank you", I smile at him. "You need all of our support.", he says back. "Oh guys, this is Vinny! He's my coach and new best friend. ", I say pointing at him. "Vin this is, Cierra, Gigi, my brother Charlie and his boyfriend Scott!", I point at all of them.

They all say their "hello's" and we start talking about tonight. "So there's no throwing the towel in with this one?", Charlie asks. "No, Liliana has to stay down if she's hurt bad enough. If someone steps in, it'll ruin her rep.", Nate says. "I'm worried", Charlie says. "Don't be. She kicks ass", Vinny laughs.

We all watch Never Back Down and order pizza before my fight. The doorbell rings and I open the door to let the pizza guy in, but I forgot my wallet, so Vinny hurried up and paid him. "No", I say handing Vin his money back. "Yes", he says handing it back to the driver. "Vinny", I say. "Liliana." , he says back. "You guys are a cute couple", the delivery guy says and hands us the pizza.

We both look at each other and hope that Parker didn't hear what he just said. "Thanks for the pizza.", Vin says and closes the door. We both go sit down with everyone else and finished the movie. Once it goes off, we head to watch a fight that Vinny wanted me to see.

Once we get to the boxing gym, we walk over to the elevator and go to the first floor. Once we all get off, I turn around to see the same shocked expression I had yesterday, when I looked at my friends. I laugh at them and then we walk over to where the "announcer" and the crowd is.

"Who's stepping up and fighting the brutal, the vicious, Stephen Walters?", The announcer yells. The crowd cheers when someone screams "I will" and I turn around to see that it was Vinny. "Dude", I say worried. "Dude.", he says back smiling. He walks over to the middle of the crowd and we all push our ways to the front of the crowd, so we can see Vinny do his thing.
