Fighting Liliana

Chapter Twenty-One

    "Where do you wanna eat love?", I ask him. "Right here.", Parker says staring into my eyes. My eyes go wide and I look away quickly. "You're crazy.", I laugh. "Crazy for you.", he grins. I start laughing hysterically."Stop with the cheesiness. I can't take it.", "Let's go to Five Guys.", he says and starts driving.

We pull up to Five Guys and go in to order our food. I got a cheeseburger with just ketchup and pickles, Parker got a hotdog with relish and ketchup, and we shared fries. "How's your date going, Liliana?", Parker asks. "Fine, but the guy is kind of lame.", I say jokingly.

"Really? I thought he was pretty cool.", he laughs. "He's no Leonardo DiCaprio", I laugh with him. "Leo has nothing on me.", he says and finishes his hotdog. "I'm done.", I say and push the rest of my burger away. "Okay, cool. I have something for you actually.", Parker says smiling at me.

He grabs my hand and we start walking out of Five Guys and to his jeep, but he pulls me past his truck and we find a waterfall. The water is completely blue and the sun is setting behind it. He pulls out his phone and takes a picture of me kissing him on the cheek.

"Liliana, you have been the absolute best thing about moving to Clearwater Rapids. I thought that when I was leaving Cali, I would never find anything that excited me again. I thought that me leaving Cali, that I'd be away from fighting, but I'm glad I got back into doing it. Mya may be an obstacle for us, but I know that we'll overcome it. You're the sweetest, most beautiful, and headstrong girl that I know.", he says laughing.

I start to grow a little worried because I feel like he's proposing to me. I love Parker, but I'm still young. I don't think that I'll be able to say yes. "I know what you're thinking. I'm not proposing to you. One day I will though and I want you to have this promise ring. You're the only girl that I want Lil. I want you when you're sad, happy, sassy, or even angry at me.

You showed me how to love again. I never thought that I would love any girl more than I love fighting, but damn you changed that.", he says with a smile. I give him the biggest hug ever. "I love you, Parker.", I whisper in his ear. "I love you too, Lili." he says back. "Let's be cheesy for a second.", he says and puts on Fall for You by Secondhand Serenade.

He grabs my hand, spins me around and we start dancing like there's no one else around. Parker is truly healing my heart. He's done everything he could to make sure, that I felt safe when I'm with him and I couldn't be more thankful for him. Once we're done dancing, I have tears in my eyes and all of the other people around us are clapping and cheering.

Parker smiles at me and wipes my eyes. "What happened to you not crying, tomboy?", he asks. "You make me do a lot of things that I normally wouldn't do, Parker.", I tell him truthfully. I look up and see a young about 12 or 13-year-old girl, stop recording us. "Hi", I smile at her.

"Hi, you guys are so cute. I always watch you guys fight. I hope you guys compete in the competition.", she says. "How do you know about the competition?", Parker asks her. "I want to compete in it when I get older. My name is Lily too, but it's only Lily. Not Liliana.", she says laughing.

"Thank you for the support, Lily. Will, you send me the video you took of us?", I ask her. "Yes, turn your airdrop on.", she says. She airdrops the video to me and I smile widely because now I know I'll always have this video of Parker and I. "Thank you, sweetheart.", I say and give her a hug. Parker and I walk back to his car and he's suddenly super quiet.

"Are you okay, Parker?", I ask him. "Yeah, I'm okay. I just hope that girl doesn't do underground fighting when she gets older. Once you get in, it's hard to get out.", he says getting in his car. I get in the passenger seat and give Parker a smile. "She'll be okay, Parker.", I tell him. "Let's invite the rest of the group for the paintball fight.", I suggest lighten the mood. "Let's do it", he smiles.

Parker starts driving to the paintball place and I text Cierra, Gigi, Nate, and Vinny. When we pull up, everyone else is already there. Parker and I get out and walk over to them. "Girls vs. Guys?", Cierra suggest. "Hell yes", I agree. We all go in and cover-up in the paintball gear and get our guns. "I feel like David Dobrik", I laugh.

We all head out to the field where we're supposed to play and the game starts. Cierra and I start running out to attack the guys, but Gigi just sits there, so I turn around. "Gigi, what are you doing?", I ask her quickly. "I just got my nails done, so I'm a little scared to do this.", she says. "Ugh, come on Gigi. Get my six, and I'll cover you.", I say and run out in the field.

"Six?", I hear her ask from behind me. Cierra shoots Nate and he gets a bucket full of paint and throws it on Gigi, so I burst out in laughter. "Oh, my goodness.", I say and start laughing. Vinny shoots me and I turn around with a sudden attitude change. "Really, Vin?", I yell. "Let's go, bestie. Show me what you've got.", he says back.

I run towards him and he starts running back before he turns around and trips. I put my foot on him and say "surrender", with my gun held to his face. "You're funny, Lil.", he says. I shoot him in his dick and he yells. "Give me your gun.", I tell him.

"Shit, you mean business girl.", he says and hands me his gun. I give him and hug before I run and go find my boyfriend and Nate. "Where are they, Cierra?", I ask her. "Over there", she says pointing to a haystack. "How the hell did she get two guns?", I hear Parker yell. "Your girlfriend is very competitive. That's how.", Vinny says.

I run behind the haystack and start lighting both of them up with the two guns, and Cierra and Gigi keep shooting Vin. We finish the game and we're all out of breath. "I'm so tired", Gigi says plopping down on the bench inside.

"What's that, Lil?", Cierra asks with wide eyes. "It's just a promise ring, Cierra.", I tell her. "Oh, it's gorgeous.", she says. "We have to start getting more hardcore practice in for you tomorrow, Lil.", Vin says. "Yeah, we have to make sure that you're ready.", Nate says. "I'm ready.", I say and look at all of them. They're right. It's time to start getting serious.
